Those that know me or have been around Natasha.. she seems to have started having a fire selector issue.. sometimes it would get stuck where I couldnt move it from safe to semi to auto.. no big deal to me, I kept it on auto.. sometimes it wouldnt fire, then I would cycle the selector untill it did.. most folks said this is a common issue with an Ak.. well.. she finally gave out.. it doesnt fire.. I cycle through as I normally do but nothing happens.. im not sure if this is something with other AKs.. but usually with no battery if you pull the trigger, you get a metal ping sound.. well its ping now doesnt happen all the time, i cycle through the selector until it happens..
is this fire issue a simple making contact problem or do you think it goes deeper??? I havent yet taken it apart and wanted some input before I do..
Thanks guys..

RS AK 56-2 Stopped Firing...
Re: RS AK 56-2 Stopped Firing...
check the screw that secures the selector switch, that would come loose on all my AK's (TM, CA & ICS) You can also pull the handle off and check the motor connectors before tearing it down any further
Say what you want, think what you want, it won't change the fact that AJAX will do what we want, when we want, including roll the ____ over you.

I agree with severed; I had a problem just like this with a JG AK47 that was solved in that manner.
There's no kill switch on awesome!

Im going to have to find my manual.. on the RS there are no screws.. I look down in the gun as im switching the selector it seems to be operating correct moving to all 3 points smooth.. I will have to get the selector out to pull the gearbox an inspect further.. thanks for your input guys, please any more will be useful..

Screw is under a cap that looks like a rivet. The 3 positions your feeling are just notches on the body.
Bush, the spring that connects the yaw control/cut off lever to the selector plate is probably missing. Theres a little nub on the selector plate and if it pops off the spring will unseat itself and the cut off lever won't function properly, killing or at least causing problems in semi.
Great thing is that you don't even have to open the GB to verify or fix this issue if it is that spring.
