That first issue is almost certainly the contact slide being stuck forward for one reason or another. Who told you it was the wires that lead to the motor themselves?

What mags are you using? Give us some details about the feeding issues so we can help. Like I said in the section rules, if you want quality help, give people enough details that they can actually assist. Saying "will not sit in the magwell and feed" doesnt really give us anything to go on. When you cycle the gearbox, is the air nozzle moving back and forth in the hopup chamber? If you don't know what those parts are, see this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YrcrE1Q53oE

Click the link in my sig if you want me to repair it for you.

Well, if what your step dad meant was that it was an electrical issue somewhere in the circuit, he was right; if he meant it was literally the wires that run to the motor, he is incorrect.

You may have to slightly modify the mags and/or mag catch to make them sit properly, I can further advise if I see them and try it for myself. It may require some dremeling and/or shimming of the magwell. This is something I can also fix, via the link in my sig. If you have me repair the issue in your gearbox, and the magwell/mag issues require only dremeling or shimming as I think it will, I will fix the mag/magwell issue for no extra charge.
