#KWAprobs

So, I got a new KWA M226 about a week ago (the PTP one) and it's having some issues. Firstly, it double feeds about 3-5 n a magazine of 23. The first bb goes at normal FPS and the second will go about 100 fps. After that I would have to rack the slide or the next shot will be a dry fire.

The main one is the fact that it won't transition to single action. I pull the trigger, the slide seems to blow all the way back, and it stays in double action. I don't know what helpful information to give other than the slide doesn't feel smooth when pulling it back slowly, but I hear that's normal for the M226. Couldn't find any information regarding the main problem though.

I've tried both a full tank of propane and full green gas can, to no avail. ...which brings me to my last problem

It's under the 45 day warranty. I'd prefer to avoid sending it in if possible, unless you guys absolutely think I should. BUT, KWA says using propane voids the warranty. If I send it in is an alarm going to sound resulting in my gun being sent back to me with a note saying "GTFO PROPANE"? If I use enough green gas to get rid of the smell, will they know? :-X

Yeah, I cleaned it right when I got it and again after I fired it some and it was being strange

Edit: Tried cleaning it again and now it's double feeding way worse :'(

I've tried turning the hop all the way on and off

Send it back and get a TM, there you go problem solved. Your welcome :P

But in all honesty send it back unless you feel comfortable diving into the inner workings of the 226 to replace what sounds like a weak hammer spring not hitting the valve in the mag hard enough, and there is defiantly something wrong if the single action trigger is not engaging after your first double action shot. Sounds like there is something prematurely tripping the de-cocker or something is broken.

Either way if it is under warranty send that sucker back.

edit------------

read that first part wrong, if you are double feeding then it is something wrong with your nozzle and/or feed lips on the mag.

I bet the feed ramp is cracked, that's a fairly common problem. I agree, use the warranty.
