ok guys post em. did you melt a swiss cheese piston with 80rps? did you crack a gearbox? (kory, kory, lol)

post your pictures of stripped pistons, cracked boxes, broken springs, what all did you break?

to start it off i put a guarder hi torque motor in my sr25, steel gears with systema shims and 140 spring and ran an 11.1 on it for about 6 months. did not upgrade piston, o-ring or head (full seal cylinder btw). results below, but i imagine some of you can guess already

sorry for the blurriness, i swear galaxy s2's deliberately unfocus a bit before the snap

80 RPS with an M150 spring. Prematurely engaged the piston like crazy. It was also rubbing on the cylinder, slowing it down a bit more. Piston melted pretty quickly, a very short burst and I saw the pieces flying out of the gearbox shell. Set up was a custom motor, 10:1 DSG, and a 14.8v, along with the M150 mentioned earlier. I think I may have also been running bearings.

My 417 disaster. Cracked the gearbox shell along with the M150 spring. Lots of heartbreak on that one. I miss my 417, it was a heck of a rifle, but this basically just ruined it for me. I quickly fixed it up and sold it. As of yesterday, it is still running strong. The set up that killed it was 10:1 gears SS-3, M150, Lonex A2 motor, bearings. 44rps and just under 400fps with .25s. Before I sold it, I replaced the shell, and downgraded everything back to stock.

A broken Siegetek DSG. Them indestructible gears. The spur gear failed, and ended up damaging the DSG in such a way that it removed the one tooth from the gear. I was able to send it back and get a replacement for free. There's a reason Siegetek gears are the only gears I run. A simple 20:1 DSG set up, I believe it was a Lonex A2. Gun lasted fine on an 11.1, this happened when I tried a 14.8v. I believe it was an M150, I was getting around 65rps when it ground to a halt.

Another one of those products that have indestructible commonly used to describe them. An Extreme-Fire Cheetah Mosfet. This would actually be the first on that I killed, I do not have pictures of the second that died at my hands. Both were replaced for free. This wasn't anything special. My L85 killed it, SP170, Lonex A2, 21:1 gears. Certainly not a stressful set up, the gun should have easily handled it. These mosfets don't break unless something is wrong with them.

I ripped the crotch of my Chinese flecktarn pants and created a huge mangina at Iron Diplomacy two weeks ago but already sewed it up so I cannot take a picture. :D
