vsr 10 trigger box problem

Gotten new sears to replace the stock pot metal sears in the trigger box.
Replaced them and assembled it all back together. I attached it back to the receiver and tried to test fire. The piston gets cocked back, but when I try to pull the trigger, nothing happens. Like it is being held back. Any ideas what could be wrong with the trigger box that I messed up on. I had another one to look at for reference and I am using stock piston to be sure that it works

It could be the way you've tuned the trigger so that it is stuck contacting the safety lever. Have you checked that?
Edit: can you pop it open and take a picture of the inside of the trigger box?

I will do that when i get home from work. I tried the new piston sear and it was not pushing down when the trigger was being pulled so i swapped back to the stock one until i can file the new sear down

Is that with the stock sears or new sears?

I would imagine that your trigger sear is being caught on the trigger? Try running your a trigger a diffrent way, or if that doesn't help try assembling the entire box then push down on the piston sear and trigger sear. If they stay down when you pull the trigger then its your trigger on trigger sear connection. I doubt it would be a piston sear problem....but hey who knows. If it is a trigger on trigger sear you and you have tried tuning it but still no luck, try filing down the inside of the trigger sear where they make the connection.

That is probably what your problem is. Sanding is required, and if you got SHS or Chinese sears, sanding is needed.

Well, romba helped me get it tuned, so now it is firing, but the push back on the cylinder is rough. I have already filed down the cylinder teflon rings on the laylax piston, so i guess a teflon cylinder is needed now.
