I have an r-hop in my gun, once set to perfection. I installed a stronger spring that shoots A LOT hotter. My hop up now sends even the heavy bb's to the moon. Considering that the higher velocity due to the spring swap will make the bb move past the contact patch faster, I would assume that also means the bb will acquire more rotational velocity aka backspin, increasing the amount of lift the hop up applies to the bb. The larger the velocity increase, the larger the increase in lift on the bb.
As simple as this sounds I just wanted to check in with you guys to see if my logic seems safe. I'm about to start sanding down on the hop up m-nub to decrease the pressure exerted on the contact patch, so I can shoot straight instead of super overhopping.
