Well I ordered a VFC Full Metal Combat Master SR15-E3 IWS Airsoft Gun but I cant get through on the phone to someone at that store.  Bad sign for me. Anyway is there a carolina base company that sells the VFC products? I would like to stay local if posible. Also I have questions on the VFC Combat Master SR15-E3. I cant find anything on the web dealing with the size of battery's for it.  Might be cause its so new.  Anyone have any idea on battery and local vendor?

Steevo has a VFC as does Slate.  I personally don't know any local vendors that sell VFC, you could try calling Airsoft Carolina, some one there might know.

To my knowledge, AC does not carry any VFCs other than a grenade or two. I purchased mine from AirsoftGI in California. The only retailer in SC at this time is Southeastern Airsoft (GrimWulf) and I don't believe he has access to VFCs yet.

I meant he could call Airsoft Carolina, they might know what size battery goes in it.

My bad. JGattis, are you asking what batteries will fit in the crane stock, or are you asking if you could fit one in the RIS?

Ok I ordered mine from airsoftGI but have not heard from them, nor have they charged my card yet. It has been 4 days now I think.  So I was going to order with a local guy or someone i can talk too.

As far as the batteries go, I just want the best battery that will fit in whatever spot is designated in the gun as the battery compartment. I just cant find out what size or type that will work.

AirsoftGI frequently takes up to a week to ship your order, but I've never actually had an issue getting my stuff from them. They never answer the phone either. If you want to get in touch with them, email is the way to go. Say something to the effect of how displeased you are with the service and you hope it's just an error. I ended up getting a 15% off coupon and an apologetic phone call from the manager when I tried that approach.

I'm fairly sure the SR15 you ordered has a crane stock. If that is the case, there are compartments on each side of the stock to hold a battery and the wire runs through the buffer tube. You can buy batteries specifically for this purpose.

"The crane stock is wired to house the battery and hide the wires" according to VFC combat master page. So will this battery work? ->

Intellect 10.8v 3600mah NIMH Crane Stock Battery

http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?cPath=27_197&products_id=3373 ?
The 10.8v 3600mah Crane Stock Battery is designed to be used in large crane stocks, such as the CA M15A4 CQB.

what makes one crane stock large and what makes one small? I would just hate to sink 100 dollars in a battery and it not work:(

I'm not an expert on crane stocks by any means, so don't take my word for this. However, I believe that CA crane stocks are picky about what you fit in them. I've heard that most other crane stocks will take just about any crane stock battery, though. I'd stay away from the CA-sized battery.

Anybody else have direct experience with crane stocks?

That 10.8 is designed to fit only in a CA crane stock.  The tubes on CA crane stocks have a larger I.D. measurement.  If i was you, I would buy a tri panel lipo and call it a day.  Or what tell you get the gun and figure out if it takes the large or small crane stock batteries.

Well from what I have gathered these past few days, VFC crane stocks only hold chain or nunchuck style batteries. The battery you posted will in no way work with this gun. I had planned on buying a VFC M4 but after finding out how picky the crane stocks were I decided to buy Classic Army. If you want a battery that will work just simply look for a battery with just 2 row of batteries instead of the 3 sections. Hope this helps and I am sure I can link you to the batteries that will work with this gun.
