Aesthetics are 90% of what I enjoy about my rifles.

I agree an ACOG would look too small. It may look good on a G3, however.

yep agree totally, tho the best scope i own is not terribly big..

I just remembered I have another rather amusing pic of me guns.  I have a 300mm silencer for the M700...

That is a big dilemma of classic guns. There isn't much external modification you can do, such as mounting scopes and what-not, and still look good.

Nice armory, love the FAL. I'm curious what you've done with the other two guns (internally). I'm curious why you needed to replace the stock cylinder head in the FAL if it is CQB rated, I've never seen an M100 or less break one; or do you switch springs for field use?

Well,lets see.

M700 upgrades:
madbull black python 6.03mm x 650mm TBB

P90:
M110 spring

The story of the FAL...
First off, it came stock with an m110 spring. I had to replace the cylinder head because King arms made a bad choice in parts. Where most AEG cylinder heads usually have a rubber pad on the back to cushion the impact of the piston slamming forward, this had hard plastic which shattered after a couple hundred rounds.  I upgraded that to a guarder stainless steel head. This also apparently warped the cylinder which took me months to figure out. I put in a Guarder chrome plated steel cylinder and my compression went through the roof.  I also managed to break the stock nozzle, but an M4 air nozzle works just fine...so I put in an SRC aluminum air nozzle. Then a few days before a big event, the stock piston broke the first tooth. Thankfully our local shop had a booth there and I bought a CA yellow polycarb piston to replace it. It shoots right around a steady 350fps, so it is just barely CQB legal, and it has enough range that it is great for field as well.

So how have you spent 1.2k on it? This only sounds like $50 worth of repairs.

Ummm... are you being serious Stomper?

Where do you play CQB? Big headahce, but it sounds like it should be a pretty solid build now. Out of curiousity, is the stock nub decent?

Stock nub is just great, but I threw in an 'H' nub for better accuracy.  I played at the DMZ in Colorado Springs http://dmzairsoft.ning.com/

Wow, the mags are way overpriced, and I didnt know it would cost $185 just to put a scope on it. Anyway, I cant wait to see the gun! (If I ever see it)

It is a rare gun, they can get away with charging more (just take a look at how much the KA bipod for the FAL costs).

With any luck, I should be able to start coming to games sometime in mid October.

Oh, and adding to the cost, factor in I have put ~60k rounds through it... that adds up after a little while when you use high grade ammo (especially the G&G .25g bios)

*I really meant bucking and nub (misspoke), but it's answered anyway ;).

That is one sexy gun, I'd love to see it at the next game.

I'm sure you'd love to make a DMR FAL.
