My Humble Armory

Post by Bushmaster » Wed Oct 19, 2011 4:21 pm

Well, after being here for two years, I figured it was time to finally do an armory thread, both past and present weapons. If you don't count all of the crappy springers and LPEGs from Wal-Mart, my first gun was a JG MP5 SD6 that never stopped breaking. Never took any pictures of it, but we all know what they look like. I traded that off for a JG M4 after a couple months, which looked like this when I was finished with it:

After a few more months, I traded that for an Echo1 G36 which I kept longer than any other AEG I've had. I didn't do a whole lot to it other than throw on an SRC suppressor and a carry-handle scope.

After about six months I traded that off for a Classic Army P90 which just didn't fit my style, so it didn't stay long.

In July I got a G&G Pro-Line M16, which is still completely stock but will be converted to an M4 with a bull barrel and a Troy rail like my brothers real steel M4. Currently it looks like this, though:

I couldn't find the ACOG in the after-game carnage of Fulda :-[

After a few months I got tired of the P90 so I traded it for a bunch of random gear and parts which I just traded some of for a JG G3 as my new DMR project. I'm going to get this thing up to around 450 FPS, put on a low-profile scope mount and possibly a PSG-1 stock, and then do a nice weathering job on it.

Weathering on the G3? Does it have a metal body kit?

No, I meant the method where you give the receiver and barrel a silver base coat and then a black coat over that, and then do artificial weathering. When done right it can look very nice.

So, not to necro... (though I am..) but since I also did a JG (Echo 1 for me) G3 DMR mod, I was just curious how yours was coming out. any update pics to post? the mag release fell out of mine at fulda, so it's all in pieces. it would do my heart good to see one all together again.. haha. =]
