Is the TM L96 upgraded?

Not really, the guy i got it from says it has an ungraded piston. Hopefully its going to have more ungraded parts soon.

I don't want to offend you here, but WE 1911s are among the worst 1911 GBBs on the market. WE gas pistols (with the exception of the new Px4, Sig 226, and G17/G18) are probably the most unreliable "name brand" GBB pistols in the world. For a 1911, I'd recommend Tokyo Marui, KJW, KWA, or Tercel... pretty much anything other than a WE.

Issues with WEs:

- Pot metal frames/slides with poor fitment
- Cast internals with rough machining and poor fit and flaky finish
- Low gas efficiency due to heavy slides

The main reason WE pistols are popular is because of their relatively low cost and wide variety of 1911 variants. The reasons that so many are for sale used are listed above.

Concerning the Px4, Sig 226, and G17/G18:
These pistols are a new generation of WE designs, and are quite durable, accurate, and gas efficient. I think WE finally decided to get with the times and produce a good product. Hopefully the 1911 line will get an update to match.

^^^ Truth I have had 2 and both have been horrible.

Yeah, I've had my WE 1911 for about a year now and I've used it at any game I could use it at and it has performed well. I haven't had any problems with it yet and I think it is fairly accurate and durable. I've dropped it plenty of time and it hasn't broken yet and it shots fine.
