Again, the point of my playing ignorant to whether or not an AEG can be limited to semi only permanently was meant to illustrate a point. That point is that, though there are numerous ways, the fact of the matter is that the default cycle of a gearbox is full auto, and anything you put in place to prevent that can be just as easily removed. Trust me, we've had this debate before, and Adrian and I both know AEGs like the back of our hands and have thought about the technical aspect. Therefore, our current rule (which has not yet had any problems with this) would not be made any more effective than it already is by adding this restriction to it, all it would do is add more hassle and expense to those that do follow the rules, while NOT preventing those that do not obey them any more than our current rules do. Players that chrono over 400 are told at the chrono and briefing that they must remain on semi, and they have. Your reasoning for this is good, but due to the technical aspect, it simply can not work like you would want it to. As far as age limits, again, there is no need to fix an issue that doesn't exist.

In short, though I obviously understand that you are merely trying to look out for the safety of players, logic does resonate with me, and I find it more reasonable not to fix a problem that doesn't exist by making a rule that doesn't fix said non-issue but does make an issue for those that don't deserve it. If it ain't broke, don't fix it ;).

its not all about fps, tho if i am gonna kick a hornets nest, just WISH ASOC would switch the standard ammo weight to .25. becuase nopw most of the new aegs are pushing close to the 400fps mark or over stock, so why buy a new gun and downgrade it to play.
ex...the new e-1 rpk...shoots over 400 with .20, but AOSC rules dictates it cant go full auto?
I happen to agree with you here Chef.  I would like us to use the same bb weight that all the big games(Lion Claw events as well as some other national games) use as well as our brothers to the north to make it easier for them to come down and attend our games without having to modify thier guns or only fire on semi.
You name a game, I've been to it.

If I've banned you, then you have more than likely deserved it.

If I deleted a post it didn't need to be there or I simply didn't like it.

I finally found a set-up where a T-1 looks good!

Well...I'd like a Sten mk.II
With:
- a 3-9x scope
- a drum mag
- a bipod
- a front grip
- aN undermounted grenade launcher
- a silenced
- PEQ box
...completely defies the laws of the universe...and ignores the original purpose of the real steel Stem mk.II.....

If you can survive a nuclear war, being sliced in half, and sharing the screen with Shy Laboof you can probably survive a schoolteacher, special ops solider, and emo kid.

We should try and set up this match.  On a pirate ship, of course (to make sure it all makes sense).

Hmm... my dream weapon.
Well I would go with a CA M4A1 Carbine.
After having the internals reworked I would add some additional things
- A CA barrel mounted M203 -
- A suppressor -
- Short Vietnam mags -
-  A 1x32 red dot ACOG  -
- And top it off with a nice OD and jet black paint job -
That would be my first choice.

My 2nd choice would have to be a M14 DMR setup.
It is not the camo, or the gun that make a good player. its the skill, and team work from the man behind those things.
