When I was little, my four GI Joe uniforms were only solid colors (OD, white, tan, light/dark blue). I really wanted the GI Joe Action Marine (
http://www.google.com/search?num=10&hl= ... iFtypHTnWw ) with his cool camo uniform that looked like those in WW2 movies and Gomer Pyle's helmet. There was a really nice comic book ad that showed the Action Marine assaulting the beach and probably some TV commercials. My longing for the camo subsided for years until I discovered GI Joe was re-introduced in 1997 (really 96 but I did not find out until 97). I then started collecting GI Joes and tried to get a variety of uniforms. Ten years later I found airsoft and found a good reason to collect 1/1 scale camo.
Us airsofters are just 1/1 scale GI Joes with cool accessory packs

Just got this bone yard jg s-system.works perfectly didn't have to do any work on it. I'm guessing someone returned it because they couldn't figure out how to make the battery fit. Shoots great, I'm guessing at least 400 fps with at least 200 ft. range before it starts dropping heavily. I'd say that's $83 bucks well spent.

also what other types of guns fit a version 2 gear box? Since i didn't have to replace the jg's gear box i have one just lying around.

It is glorious!! And whisper quiet. Is it bone stock? Did you ever do anything? Piston, anything?
The pin fell out when I was moving it around taking pics. It is apparently pretty loose. I recovered it though.

Went to the gun show this weekend. It's a good thing I'm not 18 yet. Left with a magpul AFG2 and a bungee sling.
Apparently saw Robin there trying to sell a piston drive AR, didn't know it was him until I texted him later.

He was. Lifted a huge burden from his shoulders.
