Yeah, the only reason I would ever build this POS is if someone paid me a fortune, and even then it would be more of a PITA then it was worth. They would quickly realize that both it's structural soundness both externally and internally would be extremely lacking. What I would probably end up doing is rigging a switch in instead of normal contacts, and an electrical cutoff lever instead of the mechanical one. It would add expense, but that would make much more sense then trying to get the mechanical arms to work.
