Re: Loadouts
A silencer on a SAW just looks strange to me, but the barrel extension makes the SAW look 50x better.

Re: Loadouts
well they do have supressed saws, now if u go that route, put a 509tb in it.... :DMCG wrote: Yeah, I borrowed a 4 inch barrel extension from a friend. I like it a lot, though, so I'll probably buy one of my own. Why take of the suppressor? I love it one there :P

Re: Loadouts
Gotcha. I'd like to find a full length SAW barrel, then take off the suppressor. The extension that I have on is only 4 inches long, and that's not nearly long enough as a standard length barrel.Esteban wrote: A silencer on a SAW just looks strange to me, but the barrel extension makes the SAW look 50x better.

Kill bodies and slay dragons.
Re: Loadouts
I very well may. The cylinder is non-ported, so it would be pretty easy to put in a 509mm.IronChef wrote: well they do have supressed saws, now if u go that route, put a 509tb in it....![]()

Re: Loadouts
Same old boring black kit, except I've lost a bit of weight, put my pistol on my belt instead of on my leg, and added a G3.

Mmmm, sweet trigger rape.
EDIT - Also, Arbee fails at image code.

Re: Loadouts
I like the looks of that G3. Nice and plain and simple. I'd take the bipod off, but that's just me
Looks like a great loadout. You look like you put some good time into it.
How are you liking the G3? Have you done any external upgrades? Are those King Arms mids?

Re: Loadouts
@ SteevoLS: Yeah. This is true enough. XD
@ Esteban: Haha, thanks. A lot of time and a lot of money, but it suits me pretty well.
Yeah, I'm a "plain" sort of guy... I'm not too big on fancy externals. The G3 is still stock (working on remedying that internally), and I don't plan on getting any metal external parts, as I'm not a big fan of visible scratches and the likes--that's MCG's forte, haha. As for the bipod, it folds up and locks snugly against the barrel guard, so it's like it's not even there when it isn't deployed. It's a bit longer than what I'm used to, but I like the look and I'm becoming comfortable with the feel of it.
Those are King Arms mids... they wobble a bit, and slip out too easily, though, so I'm gonna have to find a way to remedy that. All in good time, though.

A layer of electrical tape around the top should take care of that.Arbee wrote: Those are King Arms mids... they wobble a bit, and slip out too easily, though, so I'm gonna have to find a way to remedy that. All in good time, though.

Re: Loadouts
Cool, I'll look into that. I wasn't sure if the way the mags are designed (with the circle things that I'm too lazy to look up the technical name for) would allow me to do that.

Re: Loadouts
Just make sure it doesn't interfere with the mag-catch and you'll be fine. I've been fixing wobbly mags like that for quite some time. Just start with one layer underneath the mag catch and build it up until it sits firmly enough for your taste.

Re: Loadouts
What do you think you are going to do internally? I'm trying to decide between that G3 and the combat machine AK-47 for something new and away from my Armalite fascination.
You should do a UN-like loadout. The blue helmet would be awesome.
Is that UN patch?
Your black loadout is one of the few that I like.

Re: Loadouts
Thanks again--and yes, that is a UN patch, haha. I've also got a Soviet patch (though I was a bit pissed when I discovered it says "Russia" even though it was advertised as "USSR"--yes, it matters!
), so I'm prepared to play both sides of a cold war scenario, plus I've got flag patches for a few different nationalities so that I can adapt for different scenarios... whoever came up with the idea of velcro for patches is a genius.
For the G3, I plan to get some more durable internals, and I'd like to turn it into a good medium-to-long distance support rifle, while keeping the FPS low enough to be able to use the full-auto function. It's got a high rate of fire, and I think that combined with distance factor and the noise it makes when it's firing will be great for suppressing the enemy.
Which, with the enemy suppressed, smaller, more nimble, and less conspicuous soldiers will have an easier time moving in and outflanking them. And if that fails, they can rely on me to draw fire for 'em. XD
