I know the new KWA's come with 6.05s, but the old KWA china made barrels used to be 6.08, and even the M4A1 and CQB come with lower quality Taiwanese barrels as opposed to the Japanese made SR/RIS series ones.

It's really too bad that it's not the diameter of the barrel that matters, but the consistency of that diameter. Anybody with a rudimentary knowledge of machining will tell you that's it is VERY expensive to machine a length of stock to the level of precision that most manufacturers of AEG barrels tout. To have a consistent 6.08 (thus yielding a consistent buffer of air around the BB) can be just as accurate as a run of the mill ~6.05 barrel. As always, the hopup is more important than a few hundredths of an inch of barrel diameter.

Rack, 6.08mm is the industry standard and has always been. G&G has used 6.035s for a while and now KWAs use 6.05s, but he industry stnd is still 6.08 in most stock guns. Anything less is a tightbore. As Steevo said, Accuracy is NOT affected by the width of the barrel.

This will be my M4. I know what you guys are thinking.

"DW posted plans for his M4 a billion times already, but he's never actually built it."

This time, I'm building it for real. I have everything except the AFG and new front assembly which I'm ordering soon enough.
