Does anyone have an estimate of the expected turnout?

Well... at least 32.

I'd guess somewhere around 50.

Seeing the likely turn out, it may be a good idea to make the medic ratio 1 in 4.

The new medic rules are neat and all, but this no RealMil, and a hate to be the guy to say it, but I predict another fustercluck with such a complex ruleset at a non-RealMil. I encourage EVERY player to print a copy to bring along for a quick reference for yourself and anyone else that needs it, this will help in situations where you aren't sure of the details and will make things easier on the Reps and admins.

Garrett, are you going to be an out of play admin the whole time? Will there be any other designated admins?

I assume it will have the same three capturable respawns, will holding them still require that the flag simply be flipped to your faction's color? Will there be any third party combatants?

Why doesn't this surprise me one bit?

I just grabbed 36 Gatorades, 12 oz bottles in a cooler w/ ice.  Hopefully you guys can help take them off my hands.  I'll still have the 5 gal. water cooler w/ cups...I don't want to see people falling down in the heat.
1 for $2
2 for $3

I've also got a few copies of Garrett's map of the airfarm.  Free to those who come first, but I'm holding a few for my squad leaders.
We all started doing what we love somewhere...

What is so confusing?  The part about having to have an arm band to be a medic? Once hit you can be healed with a 30 second one handed touch, or that if you have a vest and helmet you are healed as soon as a medic touches you?  Pretty simple system, unless your sniper team is crying cause they will not have someone to keep them alive the whole time.

LOL, hardly. I like the ruleset, but the simple fact is that this confuses the average younger player. Say what you will, but I was right last time and I will be again. As usual though, I will be accused as some kind of "whiner" when I am merely pointing out what should be obvious in order to help things run well. I'd rather state the truth now and try to avoid possible problems beforehand than keep my mouth shut until afterwards and simply say "I could have told you so" when it's too late.

In any case, I plan to have fun tomorrow, and look forward to seeing you all in the field. :)

The rules really aren't that complex.  If people would just take the time to read them there would be no problem.
