You can come and use your gun that shoots just below 400, but you will have a 50 ft engagement distance that same as at any other AOSC game, so that pretty much takes you out of engaging anyone inside a building.brandon wrote:Does that mean if I chrono above 300, but below 400, I can use it on semi only? If not, can I get permission to come on semi with a gun shooting right at 400? It's all I have :|The exception to the FPS limits and MEDs above occurs on any field deemed by the Game Directors to be a CQB field. On all CQB fields there is an absolute limit of 300 FPS with a .25 gram BB. Full auto is allowed and there is no MED. I'm very good at judging distance, so I won't be lighting anyone up at 20 feet

You name a game, I've been to it.
If I've banned you, then you have more than likely deserved it.
If I deleted a post it didn't need to be there or I simply didn't like it.

Coming to a cqb game and being stuck outside is like going to your favorite teams stadium and sitting in the parking lot during the game. The owners do rent guns though, and they are fairly decent. Every cqb game I have been to does one of two things. 1 just allow cqb rated guns. 2 cqb guns, DMRs and bolt actions. To be qualified to run a DMR or bolt action you must be 18, and in good standing abiding the rules. Only aeg's shooting 400 to 560, and bolt actions shooting 301 to 560 are allowed. Both have a 100ft med, and are at the discretion of the game director.

Ok I just want to get 100% confimation on this. My gun shoots about 380 with 0.20 gram bbs, and it shoots about 340ish with 0.25 gram bbs. Does this mean I would still have the 50ft MED? I know a couple of people that have this problem, because 300 to 400 fps is a huge gap.

Only players who have proven themselves responsible and rule abiding will be given this permission, and players under the age of 18 may not obtain it. This permission is on a case by case basis per game.

That's an issue a lot of guys have Daniel, and that's also part of the reason cqb games don't end up 100 players strong. Most guys buy or build field guns. At just about every other game, you would have a 20ft med, but there really is no place for that fps in cqb. There are just to many possible injuries that could happen just by turning a corner or breaching a door. Get yourself a pistol or shottie.

To go further with that, specifically look at UTG/Double Eagle Trishot shotguns before you make the plunge on a CQB AEG. These things are right under the limit and are pretty effective indoors. To top it off they're pretty cheap.
Also...it's by no means necessary but it would be in your favor to look into basic CQB/room clearing tactics so that you have a general knowledge of what to do. I'm by no means an "expert" on this topic but I find it interesting and to look back on the first time I played at Wellford...big difference.

That sounds like a fabulous plan! Though my Tokyo Marui is below the FPS so i'm debating if I do go to just roll with my pistol.stuckmojo wrote:i just want to add here that i have played a few games at this field rocking only a pistol and was pleasantly surprised at how much fun i still had. i will be doing the same thing at this game and will probally order extra mags for my pistol. its all about tactics and attitude. i have come to enjoy it so much that i pretty much rock a pistol everytime im at this field
