Pre-Registration is now closed. I have been out of town visiting family, going to a wedding, etc. for a week so I am playing catch up. Everyone who registered will have their code by tonight. Also, there will be a sneak peak at the first mission of the game!

Re: Vietnam Patrol [MilSim Op] Sept. 28/29th
Excerpt from the scenario back story: "Meanwhile, as each prepares for battle, the US discovers one of their LZs is no longer secure when an aircraft containing supplies is shot down while attempting to land. Only a small force holds the tiny airstrip, and the NVA has earmarked it as the first isolated American outpost to fall in the impending battle. It is a race against time for both forces as they make their way to the crash site, and a desperate struggle begins throughout the area." At the start of combat operations; The LZ in question, known to the GIs as "The Pea Patch", is held by a single American Platoon. The other three American Platoons are at their HQ, AKA "Firebase Bucktower". The NVA's troop disposition is largely unknown, except that aerial surveillance has spotted movements indicating a major assault on the Pea Patch LZ. Will the single platoon hold back the NVA hordes from the vital LZ? Will the bulk of the American forces be able to break through the NVA and rescue their surrounded comrades? Will the NVA annihilate the isolated force, and ambush the approaching American columns? We'll find out this Saturday morning. (FYI, that one American platoon will be able to respawn near the LZ during this mission, and the NVA will be able to start at either of their HQs OR at a special forward respawn they get for this mission)

NOTICE TO PREREGISTERED PLAYERS:
All players who sent in their registration funds have now been sent their code, and added to the planning forums. If I made a mistake and either if these are not tru for you, please let me know ASAP and I will resolve it immediately. Make sure you bring your personal registration code, and a state or federal picture ID to registration on game day.
I will be arriving Friday in the early afternoon to begin setting up. I will do an early check in for any players that are there, and possibly an early chrono too. If you need to contact me for any reason, my cell is 803-609-sevensixeightone.

Indeed, your CO will have to decide which of his four roughly equal platoons will start the game surrounded by the enemy and trying to hold out for relief.

Re: Vietnam Patrol [MilSim Op] Sept. 28/29th
Why do I have a feeling this is going to be my platoon... Surrounded, outnumbered, and stuck in the middle of an open field as the Cong hide in the cover of the forest. Mass casualties expected, but I'm not going down alone!Dominum wrote:The NVA's troop disposition is largely unknown, except that aerial surveillance has spotted movements indicating a major assault on the Pea Patch LZ. PS: And to note while I won't be coming to dress the part of Vietnam era soldiers, as I don't have the proper gear and don't want to lay cash down on it, I will be coming to enjoy the milsim aspects and Vietnam era "play style" of this game. Just use your imagination when you see me.

That's the perfect attitude to have for this game! I have put a lot of effort into trying to make this game be exactly that, and afterwards I would appreciate as much feedback as possible from everyone to make the next one better.captainkirk05 wrote:Why do I have a feeling this is going to be my platoon...
