Hey all,
I went down there a couple of days ago, I believe they are holding open matches every Saturday. Southeast Survival is either letting a company use some of their store, or has opened an airsoft store themselves. they have a few guns sitting in there for sale, 10-12 rental echo 1's rental masks, some bb's and masks for sale, it's a small operation, and the person who was working the counter when I was their had never heard of AOSC and probably isn't even aware that this community, or communities like it exist.
The AO is pretty interesting, not like anything i've played at. It's very small, but they've dug up alot of dirt bunkers, hills, and mounds to break up the area... and scattered large cement chuncks, small plywood structures, and tractor tires break it up. it's probably about 75% the length of ft. prince's property, and half the width. It's how my hollywood educated mind pictures an early 20th century war zone.. WWI style (though I'm sure it's not really)
There are two ways to look at this I think, we have some motivated people who are not aware of our community and what we have established as 'normal' and 'good' and we can either dismiss them as unenlightened in the ways of higher airsoft... or we can bridge the gap, make contact, see if they are willing to be mentored to some degree, and see if the Greenville portion of this community can benefit somehow. I'm NOT accusing anyone of having done the former.. it's pre-emptive in nature. =]
Anywho.. that's what I got.

Seems like there is a good amount of potential here. Ill be at the PBC game this weekend, but I am interested to see what could happen here. If any of you are interested, go to the shop and introduce yourself. They were very welcoming, and will show you around the field.

I'll check it out sometime. This might be able to be a good training field for my team assuming there's some little kids to shoot.

[glow]Yes we are a store that is opened and operated along with a gun shop. also we have 10 to 12 guns for sale and 20 rental guns. We are also able to order guns, springs, pistons, batteries, mags, and gears. Yes our field is only about 2 and a half acres and its set up with dirt hills and bunker style mounds. But we are a good business just trying to provide players with something more local that having to drive an hour away. Also we are not a wooded field because we felt that a lot of times too much cover doesn't allow the real play of airsoft. yes I didn't know anything about the website we are currently on but once I was informed I made a username and started posting. I may not have known a whole lot about airsoft in general but however I am willing to learn and play. Everyone on here had to start somewhere and we are doing the same. It is a small close range style field but the best part of playing in my prospective is the part of having non stop action at every corner. it really can test a team on their ability to protect and cover. we will do capture the flag and would be willing to have a official a.o.s.c game if interested and willing to teach us some of the rules and the game play tricks. We are open people and try to do what we can to see that everyone will have a good fun time.[/glow]

So how much is it if you bring all of your own stuff? I saw on the website it said $10 to $30. As long as it isn't too expensive I will try to make it there this Saturday with a few others.

It is $10 for one hour $15 for 2 hrs and $30 for 4 hours if you have your own equipment. also if your in a group of 5 people we will knock off one persons one hour charge for the group.
Re: Ground Zero Airfield game Sat Oct. 19th 2013 10 am
Geez, 10 bucks for an hour. Sounds kinda steep imo. most fields are 20 for a whole day with the exception of PBC which is 15.

Yeah right now with the fall special its $8 for all day at pbc. It is on the pricey side for a a small outdoor field.

Well this is a testing of the water phase. we are trying to figure out how we can do it and price it where we can be reasonable and also we would love to see some of you guys out here and it may be something that we can work on and try to get you guys in a little cheaper and maybe set a day aside so often when yall want to come play so we can have like a all day pass.

That depends what BB brands and weights you have. Can you elaborate a little more on your BBs?
