It's dirt cheap and period correct for Fulda, and a lot cooler to wear than any vest or even chest rig. YMMV.
I use alice too and like it. I just have a pistol belt, suspenders, 2 canteens and holders, 2 m16 mag pouches, and a butt pack and it works great.

Dom,
Here is what Stephen's Friend uses:

Image
(Terrible Pics, I know)

I do use it more for real steel shooting but it serves as a great low-profile 1st line for an airsoft loadout.
What it is:
-1.5/2" Nylon Duty Belt with front side-release buckle
-TAG Banshee Gel Shoulder Pads on the hips
-BHI Serpa for my Sig P226
-EI Magazine Dump Pouch
-LBT Medical Blowout Pouch (NODs, Water, Ammo, etc.)

Very simple, Minimalist approach... no Molle or extra bulky padding needed.
Paired with a light low-profile chest rig or some more mag pouches, you really don't need much else for a light kit.

That's about what I am looking for, I think I'll try something similar to that. Thanks for the info and pics.

The question is will they enforce the mesh rules? Because they made a big deal about no mesh goggles leading up to the event, and they were not enforced at all. You saw mesh and standard shooters all over the place.

CDWC has a track record of not enforcing many rules...
They ALWAYS say "Full Seal" and "No Mesh" but I wear what I want every year with no problems.
I'm sure mesh will not get too much attention on gameday, but you should probably bring a back up anyway.

I recommend a good pair of Full Seal Eye-Pro though since they are a legit requirement (enforced) at many national games and if fogging is a problem then Revision Fog Wipes are the best solution in my experience.

I used a set of full seal ESS last year, and had fogging issues, so i swithced to mesh. Id like to find some decent full seal glasses.

Try Flak-Jaks (sans foam vents) or the new Smith Elite Boogie Regulators for the cheapest, and in my opinion, best alll around fog-less full seal eyepro

Does anyone know if they will allow velocity reducer tips on AEGs?

That's a negative. They don't work reliably on full auto. Luckily you have 5 weeks to change your spring (or use a different weapon).

I should hope you have at least one AEG that is below 400 FPS with a .25g...

I'm not trying to necro-post this thread but Twitch just got the Video Safety brief on the NCAO website. I know we aren't supposed to put other websites on here but if you watch the video and pass the quiz you can save time at registration. 10 questions if you answer 7 or more right you pass.

Post all the links you want, it's a free country. I do rule with a lead pipe though.
