I'm not sure where you got that idea, but there's no rule against posting links to anything you want as long as it isn't inappropriate or something like that. Besides, Fulda Gap is attended by a lot of airsofters in SC, so this is perfectly in line with the purpose of this forum.

I like that they have this quiz, sitting through that video last time was a waste of time.

The posting deal must have been from one of the other boards I'm on, sorry. Getting old is tough.
If any of you guys need to charge your batts at Fulda looks us up. We are fighting for Warsaw ( I will still charge batts for NATO however) we will have a old flat tan Chevy 4x4 parked next to us. Ask for Cody or Wes, I am bringing my small generator so bring your charger and your batteries if you need to. Looking forward to seeing a good turnout of AOSC guys!

Everybody knows everybody, and parking is segregated by teams. 1000 players is not nearly as big as it sounds.

I read through the rules, and though it stated that the limit for airsoft "markers" was 400 FPS, it never once specified the BB weight. Technically the rules do not require any weight, just that they shoot less than 400 FPS. I also noticed there are no such things as MEDs to them.

"90% of all airsoft related injuries are eye injuries."
^Lawl

"Other prohibited items include knives, bayonets, firearms, laser sights, swastikas, crossbows, slingshots, BB guns, airsoft guns, air horns, fireworks (except approved smoke grenades), unbreakable tripwires (such as piano wire), or shields of any kind are allowed on the field of play. Any device (such as an Allen wrench) that can be used to adjust the velocity of a marker is strictly prohibited on the field of play."

"There is no shooting or posting within 100 feet of a dead zone. If a ref catches you, you will be considered eliminated and you will get your card punched for a point loss.
...
DEAD ZONE CAMPING- There is no shooting or posting within 100 feet of a dead zone or entry point. Dead zones are there for the convenience and safety of the players and hold no strategic value. If a ref catches you within 100 feet of an enemy dead zone you will be considered eliminated and will have your card punched for a point deduction.
...
Entry Point and Dead zone ambushing is not allowed. All dead zones should generally be well behind friendly lines anyway, however, no units can set up within a 100 foot firing range of a dead zone to shoot out reentering players. Therefore, all reinsertions should be 'Cold', not under fire."
^This was not even remotely adhered to last year (assuming it was there, I don't remember). There was one dead zone in particular that was in the middle of firefights almost the entire game.

Good Catch! I didn't bother with the safety brief video at all... Got 100 out of 100 on the quiz, but that non-mention of BB weight is very important.

Time to tune the P* and buy some .32g
No mention of MEDs on the other hand is a little disconcerting, but all's fair in love and milsim!

I'm not complaining

If this helps anyone, it is 20' MED with 400fps, .25g. It's in the web page linked rules, i.e. http://www.fuldagapairsoft.com/. Id find the specific # for ya' but I'm blocked here at work. Snipers with sniper cards (limited in number, get from your general) have 100' MED's and must have mechanically disabled/locked out full auto. Again, from the overly-lengthy and not too easy to find rules, also been discussed to death on the NCAA forums.
Like Mathews I didn't bother with the safety brief video at all and still got 100 on the quiz. =} This ain't my first CDWC rodeo.
We're also running with SlickRidley, hope to see at least some of you guys I recognize there.

Those are the rules I read and am quoting from, and I didn't see any MEDs or BB weights anywhere in them. I did read them all, but it's possible I overlooked them...

I'd have to look when I get home, but I definitely recall seeing them somewhere in print (just not 100% sure where). It is possible I'm quoting from Twitch's postings on NCAO instead. If/when I come across it, I'll link to it right here.

Edit - Found one, here (6th post down): http://ncairsoft.org/forum/showthread.p ... S-Question
"FPS rules for Fulda Gap 2012:
400 FPS maximum for all weapons (including SAW Gunners and DMR) with a 20' Surrender rule(this means you ask for the other player to surrender, if they decide to disregard this you may shoot. We call this a courtesy to prevent close shots.)
Except:
Each side will be given a TBD number of Sniper positions just like AT. The snipers will be limited to 500 FPS with a 100' MED.
If you have any questions please let me know."

Another source, here (first post from Baldeagle in this thread): http://www.southcarolinaairsoft.com/php ... 75&p=71938
"From the thread on the NCAO....
Here is the rules concerning FPS at Fulda for this year.
1.All AEG,DMR, and SAW's will chrono at a maximum of 400 Feet Per Second with a .25 gram plastic bb.

2.There will be a limited number of sniper positions, just like the AT gunners. These will be given to the general in the form of cards, sole decision of who can operate a Sniper Weapon System will rest on the General. Players do not have to be with a recognized NCAO team. Just like AT, Generals are responsible for the actions of their Sniper's."

Might have also seen it on the Fulda Gap Scenario Facebook page....
Will scour for other sources when I get home.
