Operation Reality Check News

Image

The Intelligence file for Operation Reality Check will be available by July 1st. July is probably going to be the busiest month in Operation Reality Check History.

On July 20th we will be holding Exercise Zippo’s Legacy 1, a free day camp for Operation Reality Check Non-Player Characters and also recruiting for the Dirty Dozen.

Image

The Dirty Dozen are a group of NPCs that will act as a travelling company o and help prepare local players for upcoming scenarios. All expenses will be paid if they are fortunate enough to be selected. We are also inviting friends from our Sister organizations in LARP groups and drama groups. This is also a great opportunity for those of you who may want to act as photographers for your team, or those under 17 who may want to join in and are yet still to young to play.

This event will be held at C and C Airsoft, (Formerly ET) s completely free of charge to all those who want to come and see what being a Nion-Player Character is all about

We will be opening Registration for two Operations: Operation Reality Check Red Oak Overture in New Jersey this September ($40) 12-Hour Scenario

Image

and Operation Palmetto Overture ($75) 12-Hour Scenario in South Carolina.

All of this comes before the Operation Reality Check Season Opener at Ground Zero Airsoft CT>

We are also currently searching for an event location for either Operation Reality Check: Buckeye Overture, White Pine Overture, Hemlock Overture or Sugar Maple Overture. If you are aware of a suitable site, we do over a finders reward should a site be used.

An exciting summer and Fall Awaits us, as well as a Winter in warmer climates. Hope you come along for the ride.
With thanks

Yeah, I spent some time reading through the info and ruleset and I think it's impractical, I have no desire to attend.

I'm not criticizing anything. Someone asked why I changed my mind about attending, and I replied honestly.

Thank you for your candid response. Would you care to expound on this further? Our group tentatively is wanting to attend, yet we've never participated in a "milsim" event and don't want this to leave a bad taste in the future.

Of course, if this is not the place, please PM me.

For your fps limits is the fps limit stated using .20 bbs or .25 bbs?

the main difference in this game is all weapons other than support weapons are limited to semi only and the fact that there is no safety kills which me personally i like. i also like their medic rules. but the major bonus to this game is that its held at gti which is a nuclear power plant and is an amazing ao. the directer of operation reality check monty, is ex military and runs his games as close to military as is possible. and also he incorperates civilians into the game which just adds a new deminsion into the game. as far as the ao goes the price is well worth it considering that faded giant which is ran at the same ao is 185 dollars but it is a 2 day event and this one is 75 for one day. having played at this ao i can say that its worth every penny you pay and then some.
