GOD my parents piss me off. They're so freaking overprotective. I bring up this game at dinner and they ask where it is I say Columbia. Apparently that's too far away from Greenville.  They alWays think I'm gonna die whenever I go somewhere or do something.  So I'm not going unless I can convince them by some miracle. Sorry but I needed to let it out..........

You must learn to make your proposals by merit rather than entitlement.

Please keep in mind that I'm not trying to sound like a d-bag here.

If you want permission to do something, make your case based on the fact that you have weighed the positives against the possible consequences and feel that going to this game will be worth it.

If they are worried about the long drive, remind them of your positive driving record and the large amount of freeway experience you will get going to this game (point out that there are few drivers on I-26 on a Saturday morning, reducing the danger).

Start coming up with pluses for this game apart from "I want to go."

1) Learning to keep a cool head under pressure (hopefully, Garrett is still working on this).
2) Drug-free environment with honorable people from all over the state. - how many weekend activities can say this without being video games or school events?
3) Improvement of quick decision-making skills.  There are many positive benefits of being able to quickly consider alternatives, make a decision, and commit to is completely. (I'm talking about the ever-present "Should I move over there or will I just get shot?") - this has direct application to driving, in particular
4) Learning the benefits of honorable behavior (see my "reasons to call your hits, even those lucky shots" thread), which is important everywhere
5) Improvement of environmental awareness (i.e. paying attention to your surroundings!), another driving skill

Most importantly, though, keep your cool while making your pitch.  Lawyers know that even the best argument loses credibility when it's yelled or demanded rather than calmly broken down one statement at a time.  Take a lesson from those bastards.

Yeah, those are very good points, and I will talk to them about it...
I cant drive (I'm 14) though I have been itching to drive for years, and my teammates have already planned whos driving. And my argument wasn't just "I want to go." But they always think the worst will happen if they are not right next to me 24/7. I might just fall in a ditch, no one will find me for a week. I might trip and sprain my ankle. WHO KNOWS.

But I digress. Thanks Smitty, I'll use that.

Hello
I and possibly my buddy will be attending this event. I am not new to airsoft, nor my buddy. But we are unfamiliar with the AOSC. We are both Active Duty USMC Rifleman, but we do not own our own weapons. If some good people will provide loaners for us, it would be much appreciated.

Thank you

I'd buy the disc.
Airsoft is like procreating, you dont have to be good at it to enjoy it.

Rickrolls stopped being funny years ago. Stop posting them or I'll start deleting every post that has one linked in it.

Quick question, I need to know if TriggerTyme offers gun rentals for airsoft guns.  My wife wants to join me out there, but we dont have enough time to get her set up with gear.  Not only that, but if she doesnt like it, then what to do with it all.  Anyone know if airsoft rentals will be acvailable?
Kill or be killed...Ah hell..it's just bb's, only stings a bit.
