Sniper teams must be attached to one of the four platoons. Remember that missions will be assigned on a per-platoon basis, and the command structure, game mechanics, and scenario all depend on this 1/4th of faction platoon structure. That being said, your CO and/or your Platoon Leader is more than welcome to designate a sniper team that, while still belonging to one of the four platoons, may have a degree of autonomy.

Are the any rules/restrictions as to who can go? And are the Vietnam-style loadouts and weapons a requirement to participate?

An historically accurate loadout is not required, but it is highly encouraged that you at least try to resemble something closer to historical accuracy than not. Therefore, please pick a loadout and weapon that is at least similar to an historically accurate one, or better yet, one that is historically accurate.

^atl's quote from the OP answers the second question. As far as restrictions as to who can go, I assume you mean age restrictions? If so, reference the AOSC rules linked in the OP or found in the rules section, if not please advise.

I will try to be here with my camera, and I'll even do you guys the favor of dressing with some degree of historical accuracy, because I love you all so very much. I'll be dressing for the American side to blend in better, but I won't be participating as a combatant.

How many kill cards will every player be getting exactly? Because calling an admin every time someone runs out is prettttty annoying.

Just gonna say this, if you HAVE to use your M4, use the carrying handle irons rather than an EOtech or long range scope. I know it could be irritating but for milsim purposes, just effing use the irons.

Look. People. Going all milsim kit only is cool and all..

But I don't want to see ANY crap on the field getting onto anyone wearing any NON-Viet loadouts, rifles, or anything else.

it is not a requirement, it is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

I will be out there with my rifle AS IT IS.

My girlfriend will be out there with her PINK RIFLE.

I have no power to do anything here, but I really do hope the admins understand that its starting to sound a little bullyish with loadouts, rifles, and uniforms, facebook or AOSC. And waah wahh Felix is complaining about bullies. Yeah, I am, because I want this to be a good game, not one filled with people sneering others. Only people in Multi-cam can do that.

This game gives the Fulda crowd two weeks to prep your rifles.

At no point in time should anyone ever have to call an admin because anyone is out of kill cards, players are not allowed to be in the field in play without first getting a kill card when they respawn at HQ. The reason I said to call an admin if a player refuses to give you a kill card for any reason is because the admins are there to make sure the rules are complied with, and any player without a kill card is not abiding by the rules; and no player should ever have to say after the game "we would have won, but those guys refused to give me a kill card!".

Players will be given three kill cards at the beginning of the game, and every time they respawn at their HQ they can "refill" their kill cards, up to a MAXIMUM of three cards on their person at any one given time. If a player has had a kill card taken from them and respawns at a different respawn than the HQ, they obviously can't refill and will then have one less kill card. This means that eventually a player must respawn at their HQ, since they are not allowed to respawn without at least one kill card on them.
