OP24 - full 24 hour op - The Airfarm Feb 27-28

The military satellite Global Hawk 1 has exploded in the skies over Russia, and pieces of the are expected to start entering the atmosphere withing the next 18 hours. Scientist believe that most of the satellite will hit the earth within a 3/4 mile stretch just north of Vayvida Russia over a 24 hour period.

The US has ordered the Air Force's elite Combat Search and Rescue team and one scientist to move into the area and recover the pieces of the downed satellite. A small group of Anti American Russian Fascist known as (The Regime), also been seen in the area asking questions from local land owners, showing there intent on steeling whatever advanced technology they can get there hands on.
The main objectives for each team will be to find and secure as many fragments of the satellite as possible. Note these fragments can oly be moved by certain personnel . These pieces will be signaled by explosions during the day, and by fireworks during the night. Other night time objectives with time frames, will have a crank operated lantern attached . These objectives must be retrieved and brought back to your base before the light goes out.
Other objectives will include taking over and holding certain bases at different times throughout the game. Hostage rescue and removal. Destruction of other teams communications.
This just in - There is a small village outside of Vayvida that has become extremely hostile over the past hours. A small group of armed X-soldiers has been threatening to attack anyone who comes into the area, and claim they have booby trapped unknown locations. As of now they have just been threats. So all teams are required to try and befriend these men at all cost. The last thing either faction wants is negative news.
The Villagers are all X Military, therefore they have access to all types of gear. You may find one wearing tiger pants with a od shirt, and another wearing blue jeans with a black shirt. They can mix and match whatever they want. So you guys better get a good look at em... Just to clarify, they wont wear a full alpha or bravo loadout.
There will also be special medic rules to add to the realism of the game. Details will be announced at your briefing.
Airforce Elite - Tan / Bravo
The Regime - Green / Alpha
When - February 27th and 28th
Where - The Airfarm in Newberry SC 925 Floyd Rd Newberry SC
Time - briefing and safety 9 am on the 27th

game ends at 10 am on the 28th
Rules - All AOSC rules apply.
Fee - $15.00
Ammo rules
1) support gunners(m249,m240bravos,M60) will be allowed to carry 5000 rds in mags. That would give them 2 box mags. When they are out, they will follow reloading rules.
2) snipers(bolt action only) they will be able to reload in the field any time. Since most only have 1 or 2 mags that only hold 20 to 30 rds.
3) All other weapons will still be under the 1600 loaded mag rules.
And DON"T forget your glow sticks.
This will be a full 24 hour op with no breaks. Rest areas and camping areas will be available for players who need them. Be sure to bring layered clothing as the temperature will change throughout the game, as well as food you can eat on the field. There will also be food available for purchase at the field. Also make sure to bring a glow stick or two for the night game. Green glowsticks for green team, and red for tan.
Some of the structures on the field are not visible on the map.

Capture rules for OP24
Any player can be captured.
To capture a player you must shoot them, and then medic them.
When that player is medic'd back into the game, he is your hostage and must take his mag out of his gun.
If asked the player must turn over any held objective he has on his person, and give his last mission to his captor.
You can not take the captured players weapon, maps, bb's, etc.
After these questions are answered. They have to stay with the team or person that captured them, or may be released to go to respawn. However the captured player will only do what he is told. If you walk off and leave your hostage by more than 20 ft, he can run off
They can only be held for the maximum time . This time starts as soon as they are captured, or healed. CO and XO 20 min others 10 min.
Now about The Villagers
All of you should know that the Villagers are basically in game admin.
They can not win the game. And are really there to help keep the action going throughout the full 24 hours, and keep things balanced.
You can capture a Villager the same way you capture any other player.
The difference being they will try to escape. If you don't want them to escape, keep a gun on em... Simple and sweet.
There weapons will be disarmed only by asking. And if they have more than one weapon, then it is your duty to ask that it be disarmed. You can search a villager by asking specific questions. Do you have a gun here? And so on.
Just have fun guys, that is the NUMBER 1 RULE....
Sleeping & Dying
If you plan on sleeping during the game, leave your kill rags folded outside of your tent.
All a player has to do is unfold your kill rag, and leave it at the entrance to your tent. You must then go back to respawn before getting back into play.
If you have a question SHOOT ME A PM.

Remember guys, this is a full 24 hour game. This means you will need to be equipped with enough ammo, batteries, food, water, and clothing for an entire day and night of combat. Be prepared to sleep under the stars in shifts with your teamates, and remember that you will be required to sleep with proper eye pro on and will still be able to be shot, though it will be more likely that you will wake up to a muzzle and a safety kill.

I'll be there full 24 hours. Might bring a friend, but if so, he doesn't have any gear. He will need to borrow some. All he really needs is a gun.

Cool. Are these soldiers going to be in any particular kind of uniform, or just civilian clothes? This just in - There is a small village outside of Vayvida that has become extremely hostile over the past hours. Also, thanks for posing the map.
I can't wait for this. It's going to be awsome.

I don't know exactly how to get there from where you are, but the adress is 925 Floyd Rd Newberry, SC. Go to http://maps.google.com , hit get directions, type your adress for point A, the Airfarm's adress for B, and it will tell you how to get there.

Re: OP24 - full 24 hour op - The Airfarm Feb 27-28
Sorry if my above post came off as too serious, I don't want to take the fun out of the game or anything, I just plan on treating OP24 as more of a MilSim scenario with an actual command structure and organized squads. To be XO you do not have to field a specific weapon or be affiliated with a team, I just want to know as much as I can because the XO will have a lot of responsibilities. If those of you running Alpha would prefer that I be more of a figurehead CO and simply keep track of objectives and pass on intel, that's fine, just let me know, but from what Garrett has been saying this game is going to be set up like a serious MilSim scenario and unless those of you running Alpha wish otherwise, I plan on treating it as such .

Re: OP24 - full 24 hour op - The Airfarm Feb 27-28
OK looks like I'll be coming down for this one and may bring the guys with me. I have a couple of questions however. Are we limited on the comms. Can we run UHF/VHF Hams, CB bands or just FB type radios? Will this be a strait 24hr Milsim or just Kind like a MilSim. Will we be running RealMil type rule sets? Just trying to get feel for how me and the guys should load out. Also..is Alpa or Bravo stacked to one side..should we come prepaired to run one or both? I've been trying to get SOS down to more of the SC games and this looks like it should be a good one.
