As a former US Army Soldier stationed at Ft Irwin Ca apart of the opposing force I have taken part of MilSim games for a number of years to include fly Swatter missions " Hit & Run tactics", COB " Civilian's on the Battlefield ", Force on Force Rotations, Battle Drills, Cordon & Search and so on.

EDIT: To change the requirments.
Note: Alot of this is subject to change as I do take in constructive criticism and player feedback.

Good luck with finding people like that here lol, and the ones you do are already on a team. You should come out to a game and meet some people first.

I know that SC is very different from where I come from. People like this was very easy to find in Socal, but i'm sure they are here.

I'm here and not on a team =)

I plan to come out to some but after the holidays.

Well we have a lot of games every month, so finding one shouldn't be a problem.

Good luck with the team man, but I would take some time and look at either some teams already active, or at the player base that have no teams. Either one requires time talking online or gaming itself.

Not to put you down or anything. Can't wait to play along side you, sounds like you have a lot figured out.

Well .. Roads are always bumpy until you smooth them over. I'm sure its not a easy matter but nothing is until you fully understand and adapt to it. It can be done and will be =)

Besides $400 on patches, $100 on hosting 2 Years prepaid. Its a full go lol Even created a BF4 Server with the team name. That and I like playing it anyways

I never start halfway its all the way.

A lot of the requirments are still up in the air. Im honestly not looking for anyone to jump and join from a forum. I am expecting to meet with and get muddy with anyone that is looking into it. The only purpose to post it here is to honestly get to know more people in SC that are into Airsoft by all means. That and to see who might be interested in something like this.

And by the way. When I say down here or SC or anything of the nature, I'm not bashing SC. I'm from here! I have just been gone for along time.

If there is anything worth doing.... its worth overdoing right ?

The gear requirments are going to change. A-Tacs was / is well known and used in the Mojave and I figured It would be here also " Was wrong " lol I will work up a new list for multicam.. Being in the Army I guess ill just go back to my roots of camo lol

While I agree wholeheartedly, finding others willing to spend the money to simply meet the minimum requirements will be difficult. I don't know of a single person that won't have to drop several hundreds to match the camo requirements.

I'm also curious, here in SC, we have a Tan/Green split teams. You only list Atacs AU, does this mean you do not plan on playing on the green team?

I would just replace the requirements for pattern-specific gear and settle on something like coyote brown. Lots of high end gear isn't even available in AU... for that matter most low or mid grade gear isn't either.

That also has the added advantage of gear that looks fine over both green and tan based uniforms.

When I thought up this team it wasn't meant for just SC. It was meant for traveling maybe twice a year or so to Mil-Sim Events across the nation. Desert is mainly the camo of choice for playing on the American force side. Local games we will be on whatever side that benefits the game, but as a team.

I'm Sure it will be expensive to some to get things going, but its not so high that it is unreachable. This can be achieved with a small amount of dedication. That was the reason for the requirements ! I cant run people through weeks of basic training to weed out the ones that are not dedicated to the team or the cause. But dedication can show in many forms !

But its also not unreasonable. If any one person is dedicated enough to pay $400 + for a new M4 then i'm sure the camo wouldn't be a issue either. It cost less combined! As in any hobby it takes money, some more than other hobbies and as always it depends on how far any 1 individual is willing to go in there hobby. That goes for fishing , Hunting, Diving or boating.

Edit = Btw ! If anything SOUNDS just ODD to you ! It prob is. Im a Disabled Vet as I have said in my welcome post etc.. with TBI and at times I mix words up. In advance I'm sorry and if you do not understand please just ask me to rephrase. Its easier to just say it this way than to explain later!

There is now or has been at Evike.com or ehobbyasia. You would have to order from overseas if its that specific. But I have links to everything one person would need within the US. Plate Carriers, LBV, ALL Molle Atachments. Even a place that can water print your guns A-TACS in FG or AU.. Its here

I'd just like to point out that a $400 gun is usually saved up for for quite a while. 90% of the people here don't have the funds to go out and just pick up a $400 rifle.

Your current camo and equipment standards are sitting at about $600 worth of gear, that's considerably more than a $400 rifle. To most, that is an unreachable number. That's more than just a small amount of dedication. Requirements are one thing, but you are putting yourself on such a high level, people will be discouraged from even trying. I understand wanting to make a team for national events, my first team was created for the same reason.

While yes, American forces are predominantly tan, that also counts Multicam, DCU, Desert, among other much cheaper camo and gear patterns.

Anyway, as for local games, it seems camo restriction is not as tight? As long as you play on the same side so that the team can be together, it's not so strict?

This is true and there are many different types of camo but as 90% of them are still the same price as the A-Tacs. Its just easier to pick them up at a Surplus or a flee market for cheaper vs A-Tacs is a newer camo and gen only carried by a store.

I'm not putting my self on a high level ! Not sure what you mean by that lol Higher standards is not placing myself at that same level.

Just like that M4 can be saved for .. So can the camo ! its just as important as the weapon. I know this is Airsoft and its not at the same level as the real thing. But there are people in airsoft that do treat it that way. If the requirement is going to break the bank or its just so wrong to any one person's standard than this isn't the place for them. But there are some people who take it that serious to enjoy what they are doing. This is not meant to be back yard airsoft or running around with no shirt and a LBV.

Yes to your last question. But if you have the gear to meet the team requirments for Mil-Sim then you should have it also for local. So that shouldnt be a issue. This team is mainly meant for Mil-Sim ! Its not set for your Average player !
