I always roll high caps unless the game calls for lowcaps. By carrying lowcaps, you get a feel for how that is another element that soldiers have to deal with. Believe it or not, with a little practice, you learn to adjust to it. Poca only uses lowcaps now at all games  :).

With low and mid caps, you generally have less people spraying and praying.  It encourages a more tactical type of game.

If I could chose between a well run milsim game, or a standard paintsoft one, I'd go with milsim 95% of the time.

I think mags should not be determined by low-mid-high in milsim, but base it on a point system..Like Robin did at Op Razorback

Lets say you have a maximum of 100 points to use:
Realcaps = 5
Midcaps = 10
Highcaps = 30
Drum mags = 100

That is the standard way. But when I make a game realistic, I like to go all the way. It's not about how many rounds you carry, but how you do it.

For example, someone has 20 rounds left in a mid, or 4 left in a low. When they make contact with two people of the opposition, this factor will decide wether they fight or flee to change mags.

We may create games with the MilSim style ammo limit, but I plan on launching games that go all out. ;)

Well if you're gonna go all out you might as well require real caps :P
But that's your call and I run mids right now anyway so I'm good for teh milsim awesomeness!

Hmm, could I pass an M4 CQB off for an M733?

M4:

M733:

I have an M4 CQB exactly like the one above, but I don't have an M733, and don't plan on buying one anytime in the near future.

look, this is to discuss the difference in the game not just mags..

lets be realistic, with a real rifle, ak, sks, m4, m16, hunting rifle for that matter. You have mad range. the reason people as most say " spray and pray " is because of range. You lead the person into a hit. If we all had DMRs or guns shooting 700 800 fps, there would be no need to pray, if your accurate you will make a hit. If you want to be truely milsim, use real guns with paint rounds. ( or is that PaintMil, lol? ) till then, its a game, airsoft. And nothing more silly is calling anything other than some milsim game, paintsoft.. Paintsoft is total disrespect to the sport and others. Nobody out here is using paint rounds in there guns, so stop with that. Is it that slower people have a problem with faster people? because someone runs up on you and hits you with an aeg their paintsofters? I dont get it. At fulda gap, if you run up on a crew with miniguns are they called " spray and pray "? We need to get past this milsim nonsense and work together. Because whether anyone likes it all, we are all on the field playing the same game, Combat Simulation using airsoft guns.

In a real world situation you are gonna carry as much ammo as you can handle, that will get the job done. I personally carry three high caps. That's 750 rounds all together. Most guys who run mids carry 10 or so. They are still carrying more ammo than I do, and are usually shooting at a higher fps with nice upgrades. I dont really see the need for making a game real/sim with only mids. 3rd's idea of making the game more realistic with medics and such would be a lot more fun to me than making everyone carry mids. But that's just my opinion.
