What do you do?

If it's not airsoft related, then put it here.

What do you do?

Post by Esteban » Mon Mar 22, 2010 10:46 pm

It's always interesting for me to find out what people do for a living. I honestly do not know what most of you guys do for a living or what you guys study/studied/want to be. It's usually one of the first things I ask someone when I first meet.

Post up a quick "what I do for a living" or "what I studied in college" or "what I want to be."

You never know what you'll find out about someone!

Here's mine:

"I'm studying Electrical Engineering at Clemson and working at Intelligent Devices in Suwanee, GA every other semester. I am learning microprocessor programming for NTCIP enabled traffic devices.
I wanted to be a translator, but ended up going with computers. I used to work as a Spanish tutor."

I'm studying "Engineering Graphics" at CCTC in Sumter, SC. I started the program as a time filler, but now I'm not sure if I want to be a full-fledged civil engineer or not. Regardless, I'm in the final semester of the 2 year degree and need to get my rear in gear!

I work as a Sales Engineer for a British company that makes satellite routers and multiplexers.  I do demo's, installation, and troubleshooting of our equipment.  I travel about 50% of the time and work from home when not on the road.
You name a game, I've been to it.

If I've banned you, then you have more than likely deserved it.

If I deleted a post it didn't need to be there or I simply didn't like it.

The degree doesn't make you anymore money.  If you want to work at a dealership, apprentice under a master tech, you'll learn more hands on, than you ever would sitting in a class room.  I wasted plenty of time and money at MMI.

I kicked a lot of ass for a living, graduated with an Industrial and Engineering Management degree, now i am a stay at home dad.  Maybe one day I will be a professional assassin or an incarcerated amateur.

But what I do is lead worship for my youth group, play lead and/or rhythm guitar at church on sundays, play at a local youth hangout thingamajig called YoungLife and me and a friend are trying to start a band. If you couldn't tell, I play music alot

Well, I am currently a Cadet at North GA College and State University majoring in history and army, when at home I work at a feed and grain store, Cane Creek Park and Resovior, used to work full time construction during the summer, and still work at Bojangles as a biscuit maker and regular crew. And ALL that money goes to airsoft or school. Such is life...
