What am the bestest WAR movie?

My favorite war movie would have to be SPR, but it took a lot of viewings of both movies to put it above Apocalypse Now. Favorite war scene however would go to Children of Men (Bexhill refugee camp).

other war movies i like are submarine movies again im bias here having been in the sub service myself but enemy below and operation tokyo  and u541 are my favs there

And I'm surprised that no one has mentioned three kings. It has george clooney, mark wallberg?, and ice-cube.
Its a great movie and a must-see

Oh and I thought jarhead was quite entertaining.

And that one movie with Sean connery and nick cage. Where they had to go and sneak into the prison to stop the chemical weapons.

I do not have favorites but if i was forced to pick it would have to be band of brothers, i have read the book and Major Dick Winters bio, which I highly reccommend if you liked Band Of Brothers,

now lets see if any of ya'll can name the famous movie stars that played in these WITHOUT looking them up i will be impressed. 

Now as for the most realistic nothing beats actual war footage of which i have literally probably over 1000 hours worth
