Signed up for 6 in the USMC. Made it 3 yrs before I messed up my back. Got SGT 3 months before I messed up my back and was discharged as Cpl (E-4). MOS 2311--ammo tech. Spent most of my time TAD with reserve unit Co I 3rd Bn 24th Marines Nashville Tn. My hats off to any reservist. Hard to be civilian and military at the same time.

See, people dont realize this.  Yes, before the wars the reserve route was an easy way to go, but now.  You have to hold down a job and be ready to deploy just about every 3-5years.  People tend to view the reserves as if we arent at war and they dont go to the same combat zones as active guys.
