I haven't worked out the math, but I’m pretty sure a human of average strength with a simple shovel couldn't dig a hole, 6" in diameter and 6" feet deep in 5-10mins. Your boy must have had either assistance with construction equipment or you're exaggerating how big the hole is.

Six inches by six inches=a shovel full or two of dirt... if you meant 6' by 6' then yes it would be difficult, but unless im mistaken he didnt specify that it was only one person, i believe it was multiple people.
