I am the Lead Operator at the Spears Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant in Elgin, SC. My plant processes 2.5 million gallons of municiple sewage per day. I am responsible for the overall day to day operations of our collection system, treatment plant, and effluent and solids disposal systems. Below are some pictures of a typical day at my plant.

This is a picture of one of my maint. techs and myself in a 16' tall, 1.5 million gallon Aeration Tank. We are working on repairing a broken air diffuser pipe. Yes, I am literally knee-deep in sewage and sludge...lol! Normally the tank is full up to about 6" to the top. We have been draining it for 2 days.

Just finished the repairs and getting ready to get out.  :P

You name a game, I've been to it.

If I've banned you, then you have more than likely deserved it.

If I deleted a post it didn't need to be there or I simply didn't like it.

One great plus to a job like that is that you can go swimming whenever you want to. ;D

So do you shower before you get home, or do you have a bio-cleansing laser airlock at the front door?
