It doesn't work, so that is why they created this article.

Given the way search engines work, it's pretty safe to assume that there are more occurrences of "black people stole my car" than "white people stole my car" on the internet. Either that, or someone misspelled black in the search and then changed the search field to say white.

I agree with Steevo. I don't think this is Google's intention, but other people's.

Yeah, a few of the comments below the article point that out. I saw this on some news show and they were making the biggest deal about it. They interviewed a few African-Americans and they were complaining about how the internet is treating them, and (with no disrespect intended generally) I think they were overreacting.

I would intend plenty of disrespect. The internet doesn't treat you any way at all, it's the people on it. Even then, if your skin is too thin to realize things are jokes, then you don't BELONG on the internet.

I agree. The internet is not looking out for anyone's best interest.

Now if you search it up on Google, it comes up (along with this article) with so many people complaining and so many complicated controversies on such a small thing . . .

You know, people love hearng bad news.

Even if it did make that correction, any idiot that complains about it is just that, and clearly has no idea how search engine software works ::).
