I'm looking for a new tattoo and was wondering if anyone could give me an idea on what to get because I'm completely clueless on what to get. Please respond with pictures if possible.

Get something that represents you. Something that if a person uncovered your body in the future they could tell somewhat of a story. I discourage just going in a picking one out of a book.

I have nine tats, and the one I hate the most is my first. Just went in and picked one from a book. Now 15 years later I regret that one. Design you own, and get a good freehand artist.

I actually have the "Boondock Saints" cross on my upper left arm (Celtic Warrior Cross)

i appreciate the input and i allready have 1 tattoo that I'm getting finished this weekend but i also want something new to go along with it. i wanted like a full shoulder tattoo but i couldn't think of anything. that's why i said. why not ask the smartest people in south Carolina?

Seriously though, if you're going to permanently alter your body, you should probably not ask others what to get. If you really want something unique, get an artistic friend or family member to draw up something that really means something to you.

Of course, you could just be apathetic to the whole permanent thing, if that's the case, about 6 guys in my AIT class (whose intelligence I will not insult) got an outline of their home state, with the 3 digit area code of where they grew up written across the center.  That'd be cool up until you got a silly shaped state like Florida immortalized on you.

Do you like tribal? Its one of the easiest styles of ink to work with, and even easier to add to in the future. Or maybe a family crest. If you are getting this on your upper arm, a crest make a great shoulder cap.

i do not really like tribal tattoos. they seem overused and not very satisfying. I was thinking of getting a full shoulder tattoo to go around the existing one on my right arm. i have diddled in designing my own but have not resulted in anything conclusive yet.
