10 Years Tomorrow

Many of us lost friends or family members in the 9/11/01 attacks 10 years ago tomorrow. All of us probably remember exactly where we were and what we were doing when Flight 11 crashed into the North Tower. 10 years and ~6000 soldiers' lives later, we have finally killed most of the terrorists responsible for the attacks, and are well on the way to building the Freedom Tower on the site of the former World Trade Centers.
I don't want to see anything even
remotely close to the stupid drivel that has been flooding the forums for the past couple of weeks in this thread.

One of my co-worker's brother (Joseph John Perroncino) was killed in the top floors of one of the towers. My co-worker had recently been laid off but came to my work section that morning because all his family was in NY. My company must have felt sorry for him so they rehired him at our NY office.
I found his brother's name here:

Related to 9-11, I also know the daughter of James Coker who is from the lowcountry and was killed in A-stan last week. I think I may have even seen James at his grandson's soccer game since my daughter was on the same team.

Some of you may not like George Bush as a president or as a person in general but I believe he said it perfect on November 11, 2001 just 2 months later
Time is passing. Yet, for the United States of America, there will be no forgetting September the 11th. We will remember every rescuer who died in honor. We will remember every family that lives in grief. We will remember the fire and ash, the last phone calls, the funerals of the children. “
The Quran says this "For it is written that a son of Arabia would awaken a fearsome Eagle. The wrath of the Eagle would be felt throughout the lands of Allah and lo, while some of the people trembled in despair still more rejoiced; for the wrath of the Eagle cleansed the lands of Allah; and there was peace." Not only does it says this but the chapter and verse is 9:11
Now that the Eagle has been awoken I wonder if they regret their decision?
God bless the troops, those who have died from terrorist attacks, and the USA.
"The name of the LORD is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe."
Proverbs 18:10

My dad was at work and he heard on the radio that a plane had hit the world trade center. We didn't have a TV in our house, but there was a little black and grey set in the shop. My mother ran out and turned it on to watch and I followed her. She thought it had been an accident. Right when she turned it she saw another plane hit and knew that hadn't been an accident. I was small, but I remember seeing the plane hit on TV and wondering what was going on, being confused.
GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!

FYI that whole thing is a complete hoax. No verse like that actually appears in the Quran, and the actual 9:11 verse (regardless of translation), it has nothing to do with this.

I lived in upstate new York at the time. My dad had been at the wtc for his job the previous week. I remember it being announced in our class, during the middle of a math lesson. I can still remember the expressions of my classmates and teachers when the first tower was hit. The shock throughout the day didn't end, I remember listening to the second tower fall in the auditorium over the crying of most of the student body. It was a very rough week for those of us in new York.

I remember being in my living room when my mom got a call from my aunt. She turned on the TV and saw the burning tower. Being from NY she was very emotional. We sat on the couch and watched as the second plane hit and my mom burst into tears. I was 5 but I realized it was very bad.
A girl in one of my classes said her grandparents were supposed to be on one of the hijacked flights, but they got an early flight....
You can't forget the people who brought down the plane in PA. They would have hit the whitehouse. That was very brave.
And I JUST realized that they did it on 9/11 as in 911 for emergency. *sigh*
It's so sad... God bless America.

I was five too Romba. And, I doubt they geared it to be on the same day as the United States emergency number.
