Is Battlefield 3(for the 360, if it matters) worth the money? I love the Battlefield series, and I have BC1 and BC2, but I want to expand my collection.

It is my favorite shooter at the time, and I have been playing video games since their earliest existence. I used to game all the time then I quit because they put out the same game that they put out the last time they put out the same game (the industry in general I mean). Between this and Skyrim breathed new life in the gaming industry pushing the bar up again for the first time since COD: MW 1 and Oblivion.

This game challenges the industry to do better. People like MW3 because its easy to pick up and play. BF3 however takes some time to learn its not a second nature, pick up and play. For casual gamers, you may want to pass it up, but for someone who can put in a few hours a week its well worth it.

(For the record, I am not saying no other games are good, nor am I advocating BF3 over MW3, I am stating this CHANGED the current gaming rut)

I'm a diehard EA/Battlefield fan, and I have the other Battlefield titles, along with Medal of Honor Airborne, and I love them.

I have played all of the titles since Modern Warfare 1 to some extent(beat Black Ops and MW2, played MW3 a little and I'm currently workinng on WAW), and Modern Warfare was the last, mybe the only, great Call of Duty title.

I love love the BF series as well for it uniqueness and sense of realism in certain aspects (specifically bullet drop) that other games don't have. Also the use of vehicles is nice. BF3 has gone over the top and has become my current favorite. From the flying jets and attack choppers, to the 400+ yard head shot with a sniper after having guesstamated the bullet drop. Overall I see it as very satisfying game for players who like intense play that takes work.

My favorite part about Battlefield is the teamwork aspect. In COD, you don't get that.

And the huge maps are great too :)

Yeah team work in BF3 is huge if you get a squad that actually communicates and works well together you will be unstopable

Battlefield 3 is a good game. Dice is coming out with a new update that will fix many bugs, and adjust many weapons to react more realistically.
The Xbox and PS3 versions fall short on the internet play with only 12v12 at max. PC is where you should put your money if you are looking for the full experience of the game, but in that you will need a computer that can run it smooth.
It's not a waste of money to get it for X or P but it's firefights are far and few between on many maps that are large.

I never have problems finding a fight, even on maps like Caspian. I play the objective, and the fight revolves around the objective.

Get it and play with me. Its a wicked good game, but only when you have a team who you can talk to. (Semlohwerd=gamertag)

Awesome. I'll shoot you a request ASAP. (BulkRocketeer5. Kinda lame IMO, it's the one Microsoft gave me.)
