I know this is not the palce to ask these questions, but I see a large part of the AOSC is from The Citadel or some type of military school or have or is currently in the service of the United States. I am looking at three schools, and I have them ranked in order:
1. The Citadel
2. USC Columbia
3. Georgia Military College (Official visit with high school ROTC tomorrow, 9/13/12)
I would appreciate any recommendations, and last I checked, my GPA was 3.1 or 3.2, on a 5.0 scale, if that has anything to do with this.

Do you know what you might be majoring in or planning on doing after college?
The Citadel happened to be in the news today:

If you go to the Citadel, you can play airsoft with us at the Swamp on weekends, LOL.

They will all accept you, its just how much scholarship money youll get. However, the bigger choice is your major. If you want to do just military, then El Cid is the way to go. If you have some picked career then you need to choose based on that. Then the military will follow.

I would like to major in Science, and become an EOD Officer in the Army, or the Marines, depending on which one is open for it.

Just go Citadel then.
But make DAMN sure you have the heart for the camaraderie and trials they'll put you through.

I'm awaiting on my Army Scholarship to go to USC Columbia, but for the moment I have some scholarship money to go to USC Aiken, and my last choice is to enlist in the National Guard or Reserves and go to school that way. I'd really not rather take out loans.

sometimes taking out loans is the better way. It helps you build up your credit as you get thru school

If your going to go to USC, you won't enjoy the Computer science major. Tons of craptastic teachers over there. I am in Integrated info Tech, which is a slightly better IT degree, that still has lots of morons in it. Expect at USC in any computer program to have 20 percent of the class that isn't retarded, and 80 % who are there because IT gets "good paychecks"

alright, i just wondered. since i'm currently at Charleston Southern and am about to get contracted with the ROTC here, which is part of the Citadel, I was wondering if I would see you down here. I hope you get the scholarship to Columbia! should be fun!
