Trevor, if you ever paint that I will kill you in your sleep! ;). If you get the RIS/thread adapter slid put a suppressor on for ultimate sexyness!
Oh the suppressor is coming in the future. No doubt about it. May have to put a rifle scope on it too just to make people's brains explode ;)

I hate to tell you, but even though it would blow people's brains... it would be completely, utterly, totally, incomprehensibly pointless. Accurate as the TM AEP's are, you won't get a shot beyond 75-100'.

You must not know me very well...I find things like "usefulness" and "point" superfluous

I've heard the JG G3s are a great platform for starting a DMR.... what upgrades do you plan on getting (if any)?

I read your review on it. It's pretty cool. You should take some pictures of the gearbox and put it up before replacing anything.

Certainly can do, Esteban.

First off, I'm planning on replacing most of the parts with quality stuff, so that it'll last a bit longer.  I've got my eyes on a new set of gears, a slightly more powerful spring (I want to be able to use it on full auto, after all), a better motor, etc.  I'm probably going to get a reinforced gearbox as well--got plenty of time to research brands.

My ultimate goal is to create a medium/long-ish-range support gun that won't be entirely unusable at close-ish distances.  I realize that the overall length of the G3 is going to keep me from being good for CQB, so I'm not going to try there, haha.  I'll have to find an SMG or a good pistol or shotty for that.

So in essence, it will be a JG only in the sense that it will have a JG body, is that what you are saying? ;)

Or maybe you're gonna get a new body for it too? :D

He could have just gotten the CA G3 and done away with the internals if he wanted a metal body. You probably want something lighter than the CA G3.

I wanted something less expensive. :P

Also, a plastic body meshes a little better with the plastic mags... and my fingers won't stick to it in cold weather, haha.

But, replacing all the internals makes it more expensive, where you wouldn't necessarily need to do that with a CA or TM  ;)

Haha, this is my project gun--I planned to fully replace the internals anyway.  Besides, it's easier for me personally to buy the parts one at a time and put them in myself than to pay for it all up front.  That way I can get to know my gun a little better... a learning experience, if you will.

;)
