Guys,
As some of you may know, I recently sold my Thompson and am replacing it with a custom VFC M4 build. I intend to use a MagPul UBR in place of the normal LE stock. I've had several people tell me that I should get a MagPul MS2 sling to go along with it, but I don't want to jump in to something that is new and relatively untested.
I need a sling that will allow me to simply let go of my primary and transition to my secondary; however, I also need a sling that will allow me to securely carry my primary on my back without it banging around too much. From what I've been able to see in promotional videos for the MS2, it would allow me to do that, but are there existing slings that would fulfill that function just as well?
Thanks.

Re: Sling Recommendation Questions
i managed not to jack up my ms2...
i ekpt it mostly in the 2 point config most of the game, and single point when walking.
it stayed secure the whole time, even when i did tactical stip on a stump...
it never loosened at all.
only problem i see with it is that it is a narrow sling, there fore putting more weight on your shoulder than a wider sling...

When you definitely need it killed overnight...

Re: Sling Recommendation Questions
I am a big fan of the Specter SOP (Special Operations Patrol) 3-Point Sling for both Real-Steel and airsoft. I could sit here and give you all the reasons I like it, but I believe showing you would be easier so here is a link to their webpage, and a video of the sling in action.

Re: Sling Recommendation Questions
The carry position on the Specter is exactly what I was thinking about, Grim. I really like the quick-adjust feature aswell.

Hey Grim, you mind telling how much you paid for yours and where you purchased it. I have a one point sling, but it does not allow for transitioning to carry on my back.

They should be between $35 and $40 online, Jeff.

Re: Sling Recommendation Questions
I'm running a vest with lots of pouches sticking out and a hydro. pack on the back; I hadn't thought about the snagging issues that I'd get with a three point. Orca recommended the Emdom Gunslinger sling to me, and after looking at it I think it would suit my needs much better than the MS2. It has a much wider strap, but still has the quick adjustment of the MS2.
Thanks for the help, guys!
