We want to make this game as realistic as possible. So to make this the best airsoft experience for everyone, we are gonna ask that each player not exceed a max of 1600 rounds in mags while in battle. You can leave the rest of your ammo at your HQ, or carry them in a dump pouch or whatever if you are not comfortable with that. Players should only reload at there HQ, or in a captured spawn point. Trust me guys, this will make the game a lot more interesting and enjoyable.

Just a little more info on ammo.

1) support gunners(m249,m240bravos,M60) will be allowed to carry 5000 rds in mags. That would give them 2 box mags. When they are out, they will follow reloading rules.

2) snipers(bolt action only) they will be able to reload in the field any time. Since most only have 1 or 2 mags that only hold 20 to 30 rds.

3) All other weapons will still be under the 1600 loaded mag rules.

And DON"T forget your glow sticks.

Box mags will only be allowed for support weapons.
You name a game, I've been to it.

If I've banned you, then you have more than likely deserved it.

If I deleted a post it didn't need to be there or I simply didn't like it.

splatmaster wrote: Dude, what is the point in arguing? If you want this to be a normal game, take away all the other milsim rules and just run around like every other game at the farm. Isn't the whole point to be more realistic so you can experience a totally different type of game? You don't HAVE to go, but if you are you may as well accept it and just try to enjoy a different experience.
I was thinking it but didn't want to say it.

Now I'm not trying to be a jerk but not every game will be for everyone or to everyones liking.  Please see http://www.southcarolinaairsoft.com/forums/http://www.southcarolinaairsoft.com/newforums/viewtopic.php?t=1  Different game types require different gear which you may or may not have the resources to acquire quickly.  There is always the option to save up and make an investment or or in the mean time borrow a different gun or mags.
Say what you want, think what you want, it won't change the fact that AJAX will do what we want, when we want, including roll the ____ over you.

I agree with Sev.  I like mids much more.  I don't like winding and hate the rattling they make even more.  Having said that I will say that in the summer I will most likely roll hi-caps at a lot of game simply to lighten my load.  It's darn hot down here in the summer.

I like the ammo limitations for this game.  It should allow people that only have hi-caps to use them if they want to.  There will be NO BOX MAGS allowed on any other gun besides a support weapon.

Now enough about the ammo restrictions and mag types.  Let's get back to the game discussion.  It appears as this game is turning into a prelude for the Carolina Border War.  It looks like a tan horde is coming across the border from NC and invading Aircross' home field.  Can Alpha muster enough forces together to turn them back?

Where is this stated? According to the rules I read, it says that you simply must have 1600rnds or less in mags, it does not specify that box mags are exclusively for support guns anywhere that I can find...

[mod]This is not a MilSimvsRealMilvspaintosftvsHicapsvsMidcapsvslowcapsvsstndmags thread!

Only post things relevant to the game in question. If you have a problem with the rules, PM Garrett. This is his game and if you have any problems with his rule set, you have the option to go to another game.[/mod]

*Would a Rep that has some free time tonight please clean this enormous thread? Thanks :).

It's getting a bit closer to evening out, but Bravo still has a significant advantage. I am talking to some teams that aren't on the forums much, if they come it may even out, or at least get close.

One thing I was wondering: Can  captured players escape? They're not dead technically.

If it's anything like previous games, captured players will NOT have the option to escape, essentially they will be dead for ten minutes, and must follow their captor or stay put per their orders. To capture an enemy player you must heal them first. This is assuming it's like previous games though...

Garrett, care to weigh in?

Me and Garrett were talking earlier captive stuff...we talked about disarming the opponent though, not escaping

The option to escape would add an interesting element I think...and since the enemy would be in control of most, if not all, of your weapons you would have to find a way to get away with your weapons too(or leave them behind...but I doubt that would happen)

Any thoughts?

Good input, Tzer.
How about retrieving the prisoners by force?

In summary:
"Can prisoners can be escape and be retrieved by teammates?"
