When Alpha first took over the Bravo base, there were two Bravos in short sleeve shirts walking around, putting bare hands on Alpha players, and safety killing them. Were these valid kills if they had no guns or rubber knives?

Yes it was valid as one of the players your talking about, what makes u think we didn't have a pistol on us ?? or a knife ? We put a hand on there shoulder and said "safety kill". would u prefer we said " owned or surprise u let your guard down and are now in need of a medic" ? lol

[quote]Rule #3: A "safety kill" MUST BE CALLED when players engage each other under their minimum engagement distances. A safety kill is when you point your weapon at another player and announce "safety kill" or “surrenderâ€

if im not mistaken a safety kills is defined as ambusing an enemy within the MED, or making physical contact with the enemy, such as would occour in hand to hand combat.idiot88 wrote: When Alpha first took over the Bravo base, there were two Bravos in short sleeve shirts walking around, putting bare hands on Alpha players, and safety killing them. I think there needs to be an amendment to the rule of stealth kills and bear hands... they should at least have a pistol drawn as they put one hand on you, but that's just me.

I don't want to change the rules because of anything great you did.. it's because I think it's a safety issue, and it's my opinion that will probably go unheard. *shrug*

I for one had a great time, despite a few misunderstandings, the deep freeze that set in at sundown, and the fact that I'm a fatass who has no business climbing anything higher than a stepladder.
This was two firsts for me... the first time I've been accepted as a faction XO for an organized event, and the first time that I played at the Newberry field. I must say, I had a wonderful time, even when the cold set in and I, being a sissy, left for the warmth and comfort of my own bed at home, haha. I did stay for 17 of the 24 hours, though, and what I saw during that time impressed me.
Alpha, you guys rocked hardcore. I was very proud to be second-in-commanding such a fine group as yourselves, and I hope that I didn't disappoint you as an XO. I was very pleased with the way you guys played, and your ability to stay organized and follow orders. I would gladly fight with you again. Great job!
Bravo, I was equally impressed with y'all, especially with the ninja skills at night, though the Zerg rush on H7 was pretty awesome, too. I still can't believe you guys let me bleed out on that hill. You could have had another 2,000 points, haha! Still, you guys played great, and gave us a great game, and I had a great time, so my hat's off to all of the players I encountered at Operation: 24. Thanks, guys!
And of course, a big round of applause for the game organizers and the game admins, who made it all possible.

First off I want to thank Garrett for getting this game done. I personally had a blast rolling with some new friends.
My highlight was pistol killing Dom in his own camp. After that Severed and I rolled back to the cars and marked up some of the barb wire that Garrett and his boys missed.
After that Severed and myself linked up with Diesel and rolled with him and his sons for a little bit. We got pinned down BAD by 15 or so alpha guys in the bunkers by the creek. A few of us saw rounds bouncing of Crazy and him not calling in. I shot him in the hand and watched him flinch. Some kid flanked us and nail me, I never saw him coming. Witch ever of Diesel's sons that tried to heal me, hell of a effort, they were just rolling on us hard. I bleed out and started to walk back to Bravo respawn, stepped into a hole walking down into a valley and really twisted up my back pretty good. After that I took my time to get to Bravo's base, only to find a HUGE cluster......
So I walked off the field meet some new faces and hung out with some old friends.

Re: Operation 24 - Feb 27-28, 2010
It was definitely worth coming from Clemson to play. I actually most enjoyed the night game. Clemson ran a bunch of patrols, and I don't think we stopped very much. At least, I don't remember us taking many breaks...
I think the Villagers added an interesting element to the day, but I think a lot of people were confused. I was somewhat confused about the rules, but it was fun nonetheless.
If there is another OP at the Airfarm, we should be there again :)

Well, I was thinking about you guys last night. I was thinking about how man I wish 1sgt would be like an Airsoft CO and let me go back to the cars for a while to warm up. Or even just roll over and sleep. We held 100% security in a patrol base until 2 AM, and then it was one hour sleep shifts at 66%. Cold as balls. I got about 15 minutes of sleep, then one of our 240's opened up on a probe by OpFor. My M16 went down so I crawled over and helped the AG load that sucker. Never could sleep after that, ears were ringin pretty bad...
I'm like the internet version of that awesome uncle you always thought did drugs but could never prove.

Spat, if you makes you feel better, you got more sleep than I did.

Re: Operation 24 - Feb 27-28, 2010
I want to thank everyone who came out and played at The Air Farm. The total number of players ended up at 126. Not bad at all gentlemen.
This was our first large OP at The Farm, and we learned a lot through it. Ways to make the next one much better for everyone involved, and more challenging. I don't know about everyone else, but I love a good challenge. As far as the Villagers go, we basically were set up to help control the game, more precisely the night games, and keep the action going. There were actually fifteen more objectives and missions on the schedule that we never got to, but hey that's cool. Maybe next time.
We had a blast rollin on whoever got in our way, or came onto into our HQ. Hitting bravo and alpha HQs, and trying to cause as many problems as possible. Diesel, you are now on the permanent hit list sir. LOL.

I saw some of this also, and here are MY THOUGHTS on this. As stated in our rules, Safety kills must be accepted at or under ten feet. A safety kill may only be called if you have “the dropâ€idiot88 wrote: When Alpha first took over the Bravo base, there were two Bravos in short sleeve shirts walking around, putting bare hands on Alpha players, and safety killing them. wouldn't it be easyer to enforce the fact that if your dead have a dead rag on ? if you don't have a dead rag on IMO you need to be shot anyway. After all this a is a game were we shoot at each other. and if you don't let others know your out of play then it means your in play and free to be shot at ? right or wrong ? Then again its your rules make them how you guys want them. I have no problem and prefer playing by the rules i just wish every one did.
