Wait...that is a 74, it's really hard to tell because of the picture quality, that is a 74 after all.

Re: AK Thread.
Different mags, different ammunition, different grips, different flash hider...
You have an AK-47 waffle mag in your AK-74.
Edit: also, different upper and lower receivers. just take a look at the markings. I can spot the difference really quick-a-like.

Re: AK Thread.
You mean 5.45mm.. but that's alright
What about the folding stock? any AK with a folding stock like that is a 74 variant. The only 47s with a folding stocks are the folding under type, like Arbee's, and the kind like Gamblers http://www.postimage.org/image.php?v=Pq1B2IoJ but of course both of those are AKMs.
I love Scott's AK.. it needs nothing done to it at all, but Trevor... no supressor on the 74 please? *shudder*

Re: AK Thread.
I never really liked the Chinese-make (Type - whatever) of AKs.
I'm getting 6 mags from Adam this week which will hold me over for now.
Thanks for the compliment, Jeremy. I kept my eye on that G&G Combat Machine AK for half a year, and I am so glad I finally bought it. I was between that one and the Vector Arms AK74, but I am happier with the G&G.
I'd love a Rhodesian or South African loadout or something similar to what you have, Python.

Yeah I knew it was a 47 mag. I just like waffle mags...I don't care how "wrong" it isEsteban wrote: Different mags, different ammunition, different grips, different flash hider...

I suppose I could take the suppressor off...it is a little bulky...maybe getting a normal sized silencer would be better? I don't know...

Re: AK Thread.
Trevor, if you need a suppressor for your AK I suggest this: http://rsov.com/index.php?target=products&product_id=4712

Re: AK Thread.
That ugly thing? It looks so awkward. I did change the silencer to something a little smaller though
Re: AK Thread.
I think you just described Kalashnikov's in general.
That's a standard Russian silencer, specifically developed for AKs.
