Some airsofters don't feel the need to compensate for anything with bigger optics.

Most people would have just thrown the original gas-block/flip-up sight on there and called it a day. But I like the fact that you went out of your way, when you saw that you didn't like the sight you had on there, and found a combo that went perfectly with the overall look of the gun. I also like the fact that you realize, in spite of the fact that most of your gun is magpul'd, that magpul MBUS would melt on a real-steal gas block, so you put Troy BUIS on the gas-block instead.

It's hard to tell from the picture, but is the front sight able to collapse completely with the MOE handguard? It looks like it might sit up just a little too high to fold the sight.

You make me sound quite good when you put it like that. :P

That, and the fact that I don't really like the overall look of the MBUS. ;)

Good eye. It does impede the folding by a degree or two. I was going to subtly grind the sights down half a millimeter or so to compensate. However, I realized that since the Troy's only lock when upright. It doesn't damage the lock in any way to be *slightly* off, so I think I'll leave it the way it is. An alternative would be to get a longer gas block so that I could move the sights forward an inch or so, but it's not really necessary.
