AirsoftCon 2010 - West Virginia Penitentiary 09/10-09/12

Post by SteevoLS » Sun Jun 06, 2010 7:24 pm

This is quoted from another forum. I for one would love to attend!

AirsoftCon 2010 is a three day airsoft experience hosted by Team Stormblade that features an airsoft convention and airsoft event all at one unique location. A modern 40k square foot convention center sits inside the prison walls of the West Virginia Penitentiary. The WV Penitentiary main structure is over 1,100' feet long with many rooms and exteriors structures. Come for one day or all three.

Test your squad’s skills against our Shadow Squad Role Players in different scenarios. Rescue a science team being held hostage in a science lab by terrorists. Perform a realistic drug raid when an undercover officer calls in for backup.

The event will also feature multiple squad based force-on-force scenarios throughout the day and night.

Hone your squad’s skills with a FREE 2-hour CQC training course provided by High Risk Training*.

During downtime browse the vendors and exhibitors in the conference center.

Video of our previous event at the Ohio State Reformatory can be seen here: Airsoft At Shawshank
The WV Pen is very similar in construction but much larger.
 • Registration will open on July 1st at midnight.
 • The event registration fee will be $95. This will include a 2 hour CQC training class offered by High-Risk-Training. Sponsor gift bag. Access to the convention, classes, and speakers over the 3 days. All meals (Friday dinner to Sunday lunch). Event t-shirt & patch. On-site camping. And of course access to participate in the airsoft event and any other event related activities.
 • The airsoft event portion will be open to those who are 18 years or older.
 • The FPS limit with 350FPS w/ .2 bbs.
 • The majority of the event will take place Saturday afternoon/evening until early Sunday morning. With smaller squad based force-on-force based scenarios throughout Saturday during convention show hours.
The convention aspect will be open to all ages and will be $20 for the day or $45 for a weekend pass that includes many of the items listed above.

The entry fee seems to be pretty reasonable considering all that you get for your $95.  This is really something to look into!

Registration starts July 1st at midnight. 1 person can register up to 10 people at a time. So if you are really wanting to go, get somebody to do the registration and send them your money before.

I will be attending this event.
You name a game, I've been to it.

If I've banned you, then you have more than likely deserved it.

If I deleted a post it didn't need to be there or I simply didn't like it.

YES! This looks awesome! I plan on attending as well. Someone remind me to register ASAP on 7-1-10. Can we all carpool up, at least those of us in the midlands?

I would list all the games I've been to but...I've been to almost every game since December 2007.

A carpool can only carry so many unless somebody has a big van...
