Milsim Zombie game?
Hey guys, trying to test the waters for a Milsim zombie game sometime this fall. I say milsim for a couple of reasons.
1: It would be an all night immersive event. Your in the thick of it all night, sleeping in shifts
2: Ammo would be scarce, limited to what you could bring in MIDCAPS or speedloaders. All the rest would have to be found or retrieved in resupply missions. No highcaps.
3: No team seperation or shifts as zombies, the zombies would be the same all night as paid roleplayers. Therefor, your a survivor all night long.
4: Real CQB environment, such as Hanger 18 or welford in SC.
5: Of course multiple missions to carry out, no finding a room and barricading the door all night.
This would be a game stretching from when it gets dark until the sun came up. Respawn rules would be pretty strict, you get infected you have X minutes to get to your med center for an antidote. The zombies would all be dressed the part, with different breeds having different strengths and weaknesses(IE, some can run but are easily killed, some slower but can take multiple shots, some can spray infection goo at you, some are smarter than others, etc). It would also be a sub 330 fps game, for safety.
This game would cost more than your average game, namely in the region of $30-40. This would be to cover field costs AND the paid roleplayers whome you would be gladly shooting all night. It would also cover the many props needed to make this game really blow your mind.
So, interest? This would be an OTB production, and you know we always aim to blow your socks off.

Sounds like it'd be interesting, but very hard to pull off.

Well I would be willing to attend on the sole condition that the survivors start in a safe-room, preferably with a crowbar across the door.

Not really. Actually much easier than a two person game. I just have to take care of roleplayers and props. You guys take care of yourselves.Bushmaster wrote: Sounds like it'd be interesting, but very hard to pull off.
And no worries, there will be a saferoom. Several, with your antidotes and such.

When this game happens I will definitely be there geared up as HECU from Half Life 1

Will we be provided with adrenaline shots, moltov cocktails and pipe bombs?
No, not Gordon Freeman. Louis, Zoey, Francis, and Bill.Trig wrote: Gordon Freeman?

Give me $2 for every piece of human flesh I devour and I'll play a zombie. What about Human Zombie sympathizers?

Evike did something like this and they pulled it off pretty well. Good chance to use nerf swords.

Re: Milsim Zombie game?
Remember, this wouldn't be a non-stop shoot em up game all night long. I would make this as realistic as a zombie game can be. IE, the zombies might attack for an hour straight, then dissapear for a hour or two, then come back with a vengeance. There will be a CO of the survivors, it will be his responsibility to organize guard duties, send out survivors on missions, and maintain some semblance of organization. You will want to bring food to eat, something to sleep on, flashlights with plenty of extra batteries, and the attitude that holy crap I don't wanna die!
Respawns would be pretty harsh. If tagged or sprayed by a zombie, you would have say, four minutes, to be taken back to your med center for one of your limited antidotes. You will have to be brought back by one of your buddies. If you fail to make it, your are dead and should proceed to the admin area outside to await the next insertion. You wouldn't be out long, but long enough that dying is not a good sounding option.
Missions would vary from learning the location of new antidotes or ammunition to rescueing other survivors. The final mission would be extraction via "helicopters" when only a few individuals could be taken at a time, leaving fewer and fewer survivors.
Trying to make it feel like you are really surviving the apocolypse. Think you can make it until dawn?

Well seeing that I can't sleep at night, I would definitely be up for this, no matter the cost. Just trying to stay alive would be a mission enough. I just hope you wait til it cools down at least to 80 during the day .

Would a single blow from a sword or an axe kill a zombie?

I'm aiming for october diesel, should be plenty cool enough. And bush, I am less inclined to allow the nerf swords and such just because I want to avoid the hassle of "I hit you before you tagged me!" I would prefer to keep it simple, shoot em!Diesel wrote: Well seeing that I can't sleep at night, I would definitely be up for this, no matter the cost.
