The Armory of the Red Beret
The Armory of the Red Beret
Hey, ladies and gents, just wanted to show off my girl... A UK Arms AK-47S. She shoots approximately 340 FPS, and is rather accurate, for a stock gun that hasn't been used in over a year.
I recently acquired, thanks to my good friend Wunder, a couple of "politically incorrect" midcaps, a "politically incorrect" hi-cap, and the snub-nose barrel from an AK Beta, which I'll be using for games that are more up-close and personal.
I'll be "officially" fielding her for the first time at Deep Scar, and I believe that we may have a long working relationship, as she fits all of my needs for the moment. Definitely hoping that I'm not going to mess her up like I did my second M4. Bent the barrel on that one...
Anyway, here are some pictures:
The AK-47 plus the short barrel and, from left to right, mid-cap, mid-cap, hi-cap, hi-cap. Yes, that is a racking triangle holding the AK-47 up for all to see:

The AK-47 with the stock fully extended:

I also have a Wal-Mart spring pistol, but that's really not worth taking pictures of and posting on the Internet. It... sucks. As both a weapon and a back-up weapon. Effective range is approximately ten feet, and that's if you don't have the wind blowing.
Might be adding an MP5 soon...

Re: The Armory of the Red Beret
Does the stock have much wobble? I know mine did...but it was a crosman

Re: The Armory of the Red Beret
The stock wobbles just enough to give me some degree of freedom when I need to shift down for closer targets or up for distant targets.

That looks really good! (And I like the post-its too
)
Would you consider UK-Arms a good company?

The UK Arms is a re-branded JG.6mmSilver wrote: That looks really good! (And I like the post-its too)

Very nice, Adam! I've used the exact same AK, and it's pretty impressive

Thanks, guys!
I don't know about the company, but I can tell you that this is one nice little piece of equipment. I was told when I bought it that it was an Echo-1. Haha, even if it isn't, Echo-1 is still re-branded JG, so no harm done! I just can't wait to get a chance to use 'er.
What I really need to do now is find a battery cover that will fit the Beta barrel, since the battery cover I've got is too wide for it. If anybody knows where I can find it without having to do an exhaustive search, the info would be very much appreciated!

Nice AK, all you need is a fore-grip, an EOTech, and a M203.

Re: The Armory of the Red Beret
Haha, don't worry, Henry... I'm going to be stickin' one of them purdy triple-barrel shotguns under my AK. That'll serve as the fore-grip and do more than enough damage to compensate for the loss of the M203.

Here be an Echo-1 M4 I found in my closet. Fully functional, except that the selective fire on it isn't quite what you'd expect--it only fires when it wants to (for some reason, if the fuse box isn't in a precise position, it won't fire... gonna have to look at that).
But, it functions 75% of the time, so... can't complain.
