Your standard L96 barrel. Does not have the grooves to lock the hop up unit to the barrel. Also the groove for the bucking is in the opposite side.

After about 15 min with a drimel tool that has changed. Sorry about the photos. Taken with my cell.
Standard CA barrel on the right in blue. Cut L96 barrel on the left

Re: Barrel Conversion
Were you able to recreate the crowned edge on the L96 barrel? That's the most common hangup I've seen on home-cut barrels.

For sure man. Gave me some sick groupings, and actually a little more range.IronChef wrote: does it work???
I didn't actually have to cut the barrel. Just put the grooves in for the hop up unit, and routed a new groove on the opposite side for the bucking.SteevoLS wrote: Were you able to recreate the crowned edge on the L96 barrel? That's the most common hangup I've seen on home-cut barrels.
