Yeah, because of the chaotic and rushed briefings that morning, we didn't even know the flag system was in effect; let alone the colors they represented. The fact that RED was the usual color for bravo's glowsticks didn't help either. :-[

Was that you who combed that area thoroughly and I do mean THOROUGHLY with a light? This would have been after the rescue mission and things calmed down in your camp.

Man, you don't know how much I wanted to shoot that light! If it was you, you did the job all too well. You'd scan, scan, scan and then lights out for minutes (which seemed like an hour), then you'd scan again! I never went prone because there was too much dry trash on the ground and wouldve been way too noisy. I was literaly taking baby steps and then carefully wiggling a toe into the leaves and twigs careful not to make a sound.  From time to time, I'd accidenty snap a twig.

And thanks to you, when you finally stopped scanning, I'd only move when there was activity in your camp or when I heard the noise from the interstate. At one point I was standing behind this sappling of a cedar tree (I think my pinky is thicker), and I turned my side to the light. As you'd scan by I'd turn with the light trying to hide a frontal profile. lol

I shoulda just came out of the woods when I started thinking I was out of bounds. During the fire fight I heard someone yell out that the right side of the road was out of bounds. The confusing thing was, is that I followed a road in and cut inward from there. And from where I was, I couldn't see another road in front of me. Some time after all of this and the camp was completely quite, a guy yelled out about the boundaries again. At that point I just called it quits, came out and talked to him for a bit.

Still, a whole lot of fun.  :)

So, god's eagle was the one who walked up on all of us in O4 in the late afternoon? I was the last down cause I was in the corner, so we wound up pointing guns at each other (i had a crossman shotgun). Then someone else walked up and safetied me.

Also, just a reminder, I'm missing the stock from my sniper rifle. it's busted and looks like it came off an m4.

Stealth legend, I believe Dom has your stock. He found it in the alpha base after the game ended on sunday. I think he took it with him.

I had such a blast at this game! The field is just the right size because in a lot of places you had to stick to the road.  After going back and forth a few times, I realized how easy it was to get to where you wanted to go.  The close-spaced portion of the field worked well for us bravo that were outnumbered.  Great play, and mostly great attitudes on both sides.  Now for some props.

Diesel- "Is that Alpha or Bravo?!"  .....silence....

God's Eagle- I was there for most of those safeties, and no alpha, you don't have to accept them, but be glad that  you did! (it show's good sportsmanship on Alpha's part, I hope Bravo respected you as well)

Ghost- THREE knife kills AFTER you've been shining a light, and attacking alpha base for...my god how long!  Mad props for that!

Snow- Sorry I got us lost, and hate that AFTER we found Ghost and God, we got lit up after a safety killed alpha decided to turn on his flashlight, let his squad kill us, then turn it off and call a hit.  We had a chance of saving Smitty if not for that.

Smitty-  I'll be happy to roll with you as CO anytime.  Props for sticking it out the whole night.  I love your leadership style.  You do not forget for ONE minute that at the end of the day, this game is for fun.

As far as Alpha camping Bravo HQ waiting for Smitty...well your intention would be a bit nobler, if Dom hadn't ordered Alpha to camp Bravo HQ earlier.  I heard the order over an Alpha radio.  That alpha and a few around them basically said F'ck that! and joined us for coffee.  Those few alphas even radioed how uneven the teams were, and asked if they could go Bravo for a bit to help us out.  Hat's off to you all.  That was a darn fine show of sportsmanship that AOSC should be proud of!

Best part of the day was after being shot up in alphas base, walking out with our dead rags held high, and a few objectives held low and hidden.  Not a single ALpha asked us if we had anything on our persons.  Whoot!!!!

PROS
Great field!
Love the way the missions were setup.
Good base and respawn defense setup.  It's good to have something to hide behind.
Love the flip/flags for respawns.
Garrett I really do appreciate the work you put into this game.

CONS
It's been said before, I'll say it again.
1.A briefing at the beginning of the game with both CO's and teams present.
2.Updating the main post with rules as they come.
3.Rule Nazi's need to be a little more understanding, especially considering rule #1
4.Why was that field beside Alpha's base out of bounds anyways? The only thing I felt was a little unfair, wasn't the respawn points being closer to ALpha, it wasn't that we were out numbered, it wasn't even them having a tank.  It was simply that you had to do a frontal attack against their HQ.  Can't go to the field to the side, and can't cross the creek.  You could attack FROM the creek....but that is not at all optimal.

Again great game!  Alpha grunts, you do not know how great of an impression both your teamwork and sportsmanship made on me.  YOU guys helpd make this one of the most memorable games I've played.  A hearty thanks to you all!

If anybody found a black Midlands radio in the middle of the field, either in the tall grass area or somewhere in the woods, please let me know.

Vemios, if you are referring to the field to the right as you are facing alpha base, that was in play. It would be the area on the other side of the road that was out of bounds. A couple of your guys were out of bounds when trying to rescue diesel but I wasn't going to do much about it because even diesel thought the boundary was 30 feet back from the trail, not at the edge of it. boundaries got confusing, especially at night.

ok let me address a couple of things here.  first @clutch  the air horn you heard was me waking up alpha players.  one of my LT.  called on the radio that they needed help defending deisel and that they didnt think they would be able to hold much longer so i grab the airhorn and started waking up my troops to go and help out.

second thing:  as far as the safty breifing goes i will take some of the blame for that.  before the game i noticed that things were getting bogged down so i went to garrett and suggested that bravo goes to their hq and alpha to theirs and since there was 2 aosc reps on each side let them do the safty briefing there in hopes that this would move things along and get the game started quicker.  garret said ok and i went to stephen and gambler and ask them to do bravo's safety briefing in their hq.  i dont know why they didnt they should have.  on this note let me say that outside of garrett  i think that our governing council really dropped the ball on this game.  im not trying to put anybody down but garrett had no help what so ever with this game and he did a good job with running the game and being a player  contrary to popular opinion garrett is not superman and cant do everything on his own.  again im not trying to start a fight here and this is a free country and im just stating my opinion.  the other aosc game rep showed up in alpha hq for a few minutes for some unknown reason why couldnt he help out.  if he had time to come to the field he had time to help out. any way enough of this ive said my peace.

3.  to all the bravo players that said that they were unhappy with alpha camping bravo hq sunday morning let me extend my personal apology to you.  i will tell you what went down.  first of all i was on break from 3-7 am and when i got up after freezeing my butt off for those few hours i wasnt really in any shape to do command and after being in alpha hg the entire game with no action i wanted to see some action.  it was dom's idea from the start to lead a dawn raid on bravo which i thought was an excellent idea and we had been planning it for a couple of days.  next thing is dom's radios had gone down and he was using mine so i didnt have one so for all intensive purposes i figured i would let dom finish out the game in command of alpha.  3rd of all once we found out that you guys were in our hq dom was right in thinking that if you had stolen any objectives back you couldnt get the point unless you get them into your hq.  so that was a good job on dom's part.  although i would have done things a little differently,  thats not saying anything derogatory against dom i couldnt have commanded alpha without him,  but he does have a different style than most players.  so my point is this....i was the co of alpha so all blame ultimately falls on me so again i apologize to you guys for the let down.

I am aware of the boundary, but the question I asked was, "why was that area marked out of bounds to begin with."  I'm just curious about that.

@Stuckmojo, No need to take any blame about the camping HQ thing.  Alpha did not break any rules in doing so.  We're just giving Garrett the feedback he asked for.
