Smith & Wesson Model SW40F

Post by Hotspur93 » Fri Feb 11, 2011 11:39 pm

Alright so I have a kid on my street who really doesn't know anything about airsoft and some how ended up with this fairly nice GBB pistol. I say it's nice because I have a friend who owns one and i enjoyed it, also it seemed very durable and well built. Anyway, I had to clean the gun thoroughly due to the lack of care given to this gun. Once i got through all of the grime and got to look at the internals I realized that the gas mechanism and the trigger were fully functional. My next thought was to move to the clip. That to was fine and in working order. However, while i was trying figure out exactly how the trigger assembly causes the gas to be released I discovered a broken spring. I'm not sure of the springs official name if it even has one, but i was wondering if anyone might know where i could get a replacement spring.

Also I will try and upload a pic of the trigger assembly and exactly where it came from so that those of you who have read this might know what I am talking about.

Yep, we can help when we have good pics. There are a lot of tiny springs in GBBs.

alright so the first pic is the trigger assembly and the second pic is the broken spring which i believe to be the whole problem with this gun. Also sorry it took so long for the pics i lost the broken spring for a few days and work kept calling me in  :-\

Hopefully some of you have looked at the photos and have seen/understand what im talking about. All i really need is a replacement spring. If anyone knows where i might get a replacement that would be great!

Do you have the manual? Check the part number and look it up with the manufacturer. If that fails, I may have a spring that will fit, if you send me precise 3D Dims or a CAD of it I can look.

Well I don't have the Manuel simply because the kid who owns this probably threw it out with the box thinking he didn't need it. As for precise 3D or CAD images I highly doubt I can get those for u since I'm not sure how. I might be able to find a better camera and get better pics if that would help

I need dims so I can check the springs I have, just take precise mm measurements and draw it in something easy, then give me better pics so I can see what angle it is. That way I can look through my springs and see if I have anything that will fit.
