Air nozzle question

Post by theboss62 » Tue Mar 08, 2011 10:34 am

This is pretty far fetched but does anyone know what version or air nozzzle an ICS L85/86 needs. Mine isn't getting full compression and what not so I want to replace it and then get a bore up kit so I can run a 550ish barrel or longer ;D . but anyways any help is appreciated. I have looked and looked and barely found any info on other internals like gears and what not.

Is your air nozzle cracked? I'd replace the O-rings before I invested in a new air nozzle.

I actually found one... six bucks.  I was told it was leaky ... my FPS is adjustable. three  different settings 300,350, and 400. It chronoed at 320 with .25 on the highest but I am really wondering if I get a bore up set cause I want a long barrel

It was a little leaky, but if you are getting a consistent FPS, then I would leave it in.

Your lack of FPS may be that your spring has settled.

Oh I agree but for six bucks to fix it is pretty cheap ;D. might replace orings just to see since they are really cheap too

Remember to check both GB compression and chamber compression, don't assume one or the other.

The gearbox compression was checked, and was good. I did not check the chamber compression though, as I was more or less just checking it out on the fly. The air nozzle seemed to be a little leaky. I don't know if it was leaking badly enough to need replacing.

In my opinion, if the gun is shooting constantly, then the air nozzle doesn't need replacing. Just get a heavier spring to give yourself higher fps.
